Birthday fun!

It was my birthday on Saturday, and I thought I would show you some of the  fun celebrating I did.
Since the girls didn't have school on Friday, and I had the day off, Laura asked if they could take e out for lunch.  Now, who would turn that down?  :)

They picked me up and she was telling me she was taking me to a nice restaurant about 25 minutes from our house,  I was saying she could just go somewhere here in town and not drive, when Ruby piped up from the backseat. "Mumma, remember it's Grandma's birthday so she can go wherever she wants!" Laura told me she was saying that because she had to remind them of that on the way to get me, because they wanted to go to McDonalds.

We went to the nice restaurant instead of McDonalds!

Alaina thought it was quite special to get to drink out of the "fancy" cup.

Ruby was having fun coloring.
We had a very good lunch and a nice time together, although the girls thought there was too much driving involved.

They gave me these cute cards they made - which are always better than anything you can buy!

From Ruby.  I wish my legs were a little bit closer in length to this,  :)

Alaina was very proud of her card.  It was 2 pages, and the part under the rainbow was cut out so you could see the picture she drew of the two of us together on the second page.

She also colored this door hanger for me.,  It's now hanging on the bedroom door.

Last, but not least, Bob brought me these pretty red and white roses on Saturday when he came home from work.

I had Saturday off, but Bob had to work all day, so we went out for supper on Friday night.  I spent the day Saturday getting all the Christmas decorations out, so I felt pretty productive by the time he got home.

Haooy Birthday Mari! What a treat the girls planned for you! Alana's door hanger is just so pretty. She did a great job. I thought it was funny that your daughter had to remind the grands that it was YOUR birthday so no McDonalds. :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed your birthday; belated wishes to you!

Your little girls are so precious, and yes the handmade cards worth more than gold. I have a wall of them myself. :)

A belated Happy Birthday to you Mari ... SOMEDAY I will get the hang of knowing exactly when your birthday is, and behave accordingly ... I'm sorry I missed it. But it sounds as though you were properly feted and yes those long legs would be nice, even if your arms did come out of your chin! Haahahaaha xoxo
