I won!

Did any of you follow the story of Joey Feek?  Joey was a country singer, who sang on her own and also sang with her husband Rory.  Joey passed away last March after fighting cancer for some time.  Her husband Rory wrote a blog throughout this time that was not only a testimony to his love for her, but also a testimony to their faith and the knowledge that God was with them through this fight.
My friend Sara, from make music from your heart had a giveaway on her blog of the DVD that was made telling the story of Joey and Rory.  I had been following Rory's blog and was very touched by their story and testimony, and was so excited to hear that I won the DVD.
Bob and I watched it last weekend and thought the movie was very good.  It showcased what was important to both Joey and Rory, which was faith and family.  If you watch it, be sure you have some tissues ready.
Thanks so much Sara for offering this on your blog!
If you live near me and want to borrow this, just let me know!

Good for you, Mari! Yes, I know of this story. I didn't follow the blog but did see them in a TV clip at some point along the way and watched their story unfold. Beautiful.

Congratulations on your win! Be prepared and have the Kleenex box nearby. I have followed them before she got sick and was just devastated when she passed away...but...I am so in awe with her courage and faith and even tho her life was cut short by cancer she and Rory have given me so much. Enjoy the movie.

Hi Mari! It's always fun to win something! And you won a great DVD, because you were so aware of the struggles of Joey and Rory. I did follow it a little on FB. It was very sad, but it's wonderful to know that they were so faithful and got strength from that.
Its so nice that your husband enjoyed it too.
Sunday blessings,
Ceil

How wonderful that you won...it, I'm sure, will be treasured for a lifetime! I also am sure there'd be a need for a large supply of hankies/tissues near by!

Congratulations Marie. I'm glad you share this, I'm gonna look for it.
