One of the great things about flower gardens is that they never stay the same. When one thing stops blooming, something else starts up! Also - this time of year, you can get good deals at the local greenhouses and Bob is always ready to add to his gardens!
Here's 2 flowers we just bought - Icelandic poppies and Honeysuckles.
This is an oak leaf hydrangea, that grows near our front porch. It starts blooming now and these flowers stay on through Fall.
Bob put this flower bed in last year and we can't believe how it's grown in one year. There's a lot of white coneflowers that are about to open and we can't wait to see it!

Very beautiful!!! I love the gardens in the spring and summer!!!
Oh, these are so pretty Mari! Love the lavender - haven't seen that around here! That one yellow looks like a globus - but can't tell from the photo! Those double poppies are some of my favs! Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous!
I'm late in buying some flowers for the courtyard this year! I think I can get some good deals this week!
Double poppies are lovely...I might look for those!
Gorgeous Mari, I wish I had your garden, goodness and especially that Lavender :)
Funny, I've been working on a similar post. I have that several plants of that same geranium. It takes over a flowerbed and we keep having to move them.
Mari, ALL of these are lovely! I'm quite jealous of your oak-leaf hydrangea. We saw several beautiful ones on the garden tour last Saturday....
I have some coneflowers, but no white ones. I like yours - and of course, lavender is very special. I wish I knew how to propogate it. I have one plant that has grown, but the actual root system doesn't seem "divideable".
They're all very pretty! I love poppies. I've been wanting some orange ones. And we have that same unidentified yellow flower. I think we got it from Karla and Diane... maybe you did too! ;)
Your flowers and garden are all very beautiful! I never tire of flower photos.
Your lavender is breathtaking and I always get verklempt at the sight of tiger lilies. All of your flowers are stunning. What a labor of love! Your Bob is incredibly creative and talented. What an old, beautiful soul he must be.
Not "putting up with"..pure enjoyment is what you offer! I also love that you name each flower, I'm trying to memorize them. You place is such a treat for the eyes!
i love lilies! :) i was just telling jay we need to plant tiger lilies at the new place.
There's no "putting up" involved! I LOVE looking at all your purrrrty flowers :)
I'm seeing a lot of flowers that are totally new to me. Like the oak leaf hydrangea. So pretty and different!
Please please please come tend to my flower gardens, lol! Or lack thereof! You have such beautiful flower pics!! I'm thoroughly jealous! =)
