I live in West Michigan, about 25 minutes from Lake Michigan. My sister Terri is camping this week at a campground on the lake and invited me to come and spend a day with her.

This camp is beautifully landscaped. This gazebo is overlooking the lake. There are often wedding performed here.

My niece Shaelyn playing with some friends on the beach. They were taking turns pouring sand over each other - including their heads! Some Mom's are going to be busy with getting sand out of the hair tonight!

I had a really nice day today. Fun with family, nice weather and time to relax and take in the beauty around us. Thanks Terri, for letting me spend the day!

I have a photo of my MIL and dear hubby when he was much younger [and single..LOL] at that lighthouse. My mother in law was born in Michigan.

I have never really been to that camp ground other than to pick someone up. It look beautiful. Yesterday was a perfect day and I'm glad you got to relax and enjoy some time with Terri and the beauty of why we love West Michigan.

oh, Mari, that top picture is just amazingly beautiful! It reminds me of the time we sisters spent the weekend together at my sister Betty's place in Gloucester, MA. There was a gazebo overlooking the bay, and we stood in it and sang "How Great Thou Art." It was a holy moment.
