VBS

This past week we had VBS at our church. I worked there for a few days being the nurse.  They always have a nurse there just in case, but thankfully it usually only requires a hug and a bandaid!

I have to show you how great the decorations were.  We have some talented ladies that worked hard, and a few guys that helped build things. The theme was the Wild West this year.

This is what you see when you enter church.  These were the registration tables and the sign in/out tables.

Decor along the wall.

More wall decor.

Cute horses!

Wanted posters of our Pastor, church secretary and a few others.

Here's a gold mine passage that leads to the classrooms.

The railway to the front of church

There's even a train up front!

Cactus made of paper plates and toothpicks.

Here's Bob and a friend, neglecting security to have a photo op!

Having fun outside

"Lassoing" stuffed animals

And lots of good classes inside!

It was a good week!

I just love the Western Theme! You do have some very creative staff to come up with everything. I bet the kids loved it!! It is just amazing what they created with everyday craft materials.

That scenery took a whole lot of work for the VBS at your church! God bless the folks who did that & God bless *you* for working it as well, as a nurse. Adults working together to make a wonderful summer experience for the kids. I'm sure none of them will ever forget it...and will carry what they learned into adulthood as well. Thank you for posting all the pictures. I really enjoyed them. Love, Andrea xoxo

You certainly do have some very talented people in your church, my friend. Everything looks amazing! Your church looks quite large, but I love how there must be a spirit of unity to accomplish everything that was needed doing for VBS.

I love all things Western so this would be a treasure trove for me to spend some time with my cell phone, ha ha. I am sure the kids all loved it, very special and lots of work to create it.

How fun!! We didn't have VBS when I was a kid but I think my two sisters participated (6 and 9 years younger than me). Having fun while learning about Jesus is just the best! Thanks for sharing the fun and love.

Outstanding!!
Those are the best decorations all right on theme. Love the wanted posters.
A lot of hard work but the word of the Lord was put into the kids hearts.

I agree with Sue, this was outstanding. I have never seen such a great one - even when my kids were little.
Did I ever ask you your denomination? We really need to find a church here.

OH that looks like so much fun, and such great decorations and props! They really did a wonderful job of setting it up, so I know the program and activities, etc. had to be wonderful too! I bet you had a big group of kids! That's wonderful. I love VBS, but our little church just doesn't really have the facility to do it, however there are several other churches in town who do have it, so our kids are covered with VBS opportunities. Praying for many children to have met Jesus this week.

DELIGHTFUL!!!! The hard work that went into all of that is mind boggling, but it's obvious that it was a labor of love. That cactus!!! And the gold mine!!! So cute and clever! But I want to hang out with those horses the whole time! Well, until time for snacks and meals, hahaha! The Wild West theme is just adorable and I know the kids loved it. Tell Bob I said he should have been on one of those wanted posters instead of trying to get out of Dodge on the Wonder Junction train, hahahahaa! xoxo
