Last week was a busy one! After VBS all week, a few of us had a baby shower for our Pastors wife, Hannah, on Saturday. It was a lot of fun, and I thought I'd show you a few pictures of how it went.
Here's a few of the decorations:
My daughter Laura is gifted at flower arrangements and did this cute little arrangement in a vintage baby girl planter for Hannah's table.I found this sign on Etsy. You could personalize it and then print it out yourself.
I found pink gauze runners on Amazon, borrowed these wooden bead strings from Laura and then put little vases with pink roses on the tables. We had some pink heart balloons scattered around too. It looked cute and girly! (This is baby number six and a girl after 5 boys!)
Late night diapers must be done,
but here's a way to make it more fun.
A word of encouragement, a giggle or two,
Give the new parents a note just from you.
Pick up the diaper and write on the booty,
Something to take their mind off the doody!
Here's Hannah with her mom and lots of gifts!
This is something I added with my gift. I saw it on Pinterest and thought it was such a cute idea.
Take a tiny bud vase and type out this message, roll it up and put it in the vase:
"Motherhood is full of sweet, yet simple moments, like your little one finding and picking flowers for you! This tiny vase's purpose is to hold tiny flowers, delivered by tiny hands, picked just for you. Place in on your windowsill and remember just how much you are loved."
Here's one last photo - a shot of the whole group when the shower was done. It was such a good time!

Your daughter's flower arrangement is perfect, and beautiful! And your little vase for little hands to fill is such a wonderful gift!!! Oh MY, I did read your post yesterday, about VBS. But something must have happened and I did not get to comment! I just loved all of it. It is the best VBS I have ever seen! So creative and realistic! The wanted posters are a stroke of genius, and the homemade cactus are adorable! Ginny
I absolutely love the decorations. They are so sweet. You did a great job. I like the message in a bottle a lot too.

What a wonderful baby shower for Hannah. The flowers were beautiful. The diaper idea and flower bud one was so creative. You always are so creative. Hope the boys will love their new sister-to-be. Janice
Your Pastor's wife and her new little daugher were well loved by so many of you!! How fun to be finally getting a girl! Our Asst. Pastor and his wife have six kids and the last was a girl. She will be spoiled and well looked after by her big brothers!! I love that diaper poem! Tucking it away as a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
Wouah! A girl after five boys! The decoration is so cute . Baby showers are just arriving here I think it’s a nice idea.
A lot of people there! The five boys will be proud of their sister I expect.
These pictures brought tears to my eyes, Mari. Good ones! What a fun-fun-FUN baby shower...and a girl after 5 boys. Wheeee!!! Lots of pink everywhere!! *haha* I so loved these pictures. Thank you for posting them & brightening my day! Love, Andrea xoxo
I sure love everything about this post. Its so creative and the love for Hannah and the church family just oozes out of the photos.
I love that little bud vase and the poem. It does remind me of several tiny bud vases I had when the boys were young. They were proudly displayed on the kitchen window sill with a single dandelion in it.
I am guessing that my reactions to this shower are very emotional. I do miss the smaller church gatherings where people really know each other and ther are showers and potlucks galore. Sigh ..just taking a trip down memory lane..(:0)

What a beautiful, well-planned party! And fantastic attendance! Congrats on the expectation of a girl after all the boys! All the ideas shared here are so clever -- especially the notes on the disposable diapers!!!
Just gorgeous and I can tell, successful based on how well-attended the shower was! That's so great. Hannah looks great and how wonderful that it's a girl! What a blessing. Can't wait to read that she has been safely delivered of the little one! xoxo
Looks like a beautiful baby shower! I'll have to remember that little vase idea if I ever go to another baby shower!
Wow, you did a great job. The pastel decorations and details are so perfect and what a sweet way to welcome their little girl. I bet they are tickled pink! Sorry...couldn't resist! That poem is hysterical. I have to remember that one!!

All the best Jan

What an amazing and lovely baby shower! I saved a couple of your ideas - the small vase for future flowers from children and disposable diapers for a message on the bottom! So cute . . .
Your daughter's flower arrangement is gorgeous.
Sounds like a fun event.
Writing a message on the disposable diapers was a cute idea, and I loved your small vase for future flowers from children and the message tucked in it. Very sweet idea.
