Autumn is here

It's really cooled off here - from temps in the low 70's last week, to temps in the 40's.  Along with that are other signs that Fall is really here.
Here's what it's looking like.

The corn is no longer green.

The trees are showing just a hint of color.

 More corn, ready to harvest.

 A field of gourds.

 A little more color here.

Roadside stands selling pumpkins and gourds.

In our back yard the flowers on the grasses are turning purple.

Things will probably really change in the next week!

Your backyard and the grasses are so very pretty. I also love seeing the gourds. Our mornings are much cooler here, also. It is quite the shock when I step outside to take the dog out around 4 a.m.

I think fall is peeking in here in Alabama. This morning it is 64! Should get some much needed rain today.

The colors have peeked here--have reached their peak--whatever...anyways, yes, indeed, fall is here. smiles

We actually are having a teeny bit of cooler weather.

Your photos are so pretty, Mari.

The pictures are beautiful! It doesn't look that pretty here because of the dry weather. No color yet. Everything is more brown. I enjoyed your party and seeing the girls in your last post. I read it last night but had to give up the computer and didn't get to comment.

Mari the foliage in your backyard is beautiful. I have really started loving the look of ornamental grasses. They turn so pretty in the Fall and the way they sway with the breeze is just relaxing and lovely.
Pretty red barn and country photos, too.
Thanks for sharing . . . makes me miss the Midwest :)

Yep, you're on the fast track now! I'm surprised though, that you don't have any more color than that. It was the same up in Lenoir NC last week, which surprised me too as they are at such a high elevation. But it's been so hot there, and so dry. We have a tinge and more coolness at night, and even some rain tonight! Maybe we'll make some progress soon. Your gourds and grasses are pretty. xoxo

Pretty pictures. They look so crisp, and very fall.
Our leaves over here are only just starting to turn.
