Fall in West Michigan; Part 2

Last week I showed you how beautiful Fall in West Michigan is. Today I thought I would show you the rest of the story!

This is our driveway. See that little bit of concrete showing beneath those leaves?
~~~
This is a section of our yard. This represents the rest of the yard quite well. This picture and the one above were taken about 24 hours after Bob had cleaned up the whole yard, and there was barely a leaf to be seen anywhere on the ground.
~~~

And this shows the future. There are a lot of leaves waiting to come down! I really can't complain about this. Bob takes care of the leaves, but I do feel bad for him when it seems he can't keep up with the process!

It's truly unbelievable how many leaves are up in those trees, all determined to let loose and decorate your yard. It's a full time job for at least a couple of weeks! Tell Bob to eat his Wheaties!

You know, with all the wind and rain we've had come through, we've already lost all of the leaves behind our house. Some of the trees that don't turn quite as quickly still have their leaves I think (totally basing that on two that are in front of the neighbor's house across the street that turned later than ours and a different color), but lots of our trees are already bare over here. I'd take your pretty ones even if we did have to rake, but I have manual labor at my house too! :)

Wow I haven't seen that many leaves near our house yet. I guess the high traffic wind blows them all over to your place! hehe

oh so pretty. i wish i could come over, make piles of them and jump in 'em !!

When we can, we blow the leaves onto the yard and run over them with a lawn mower to grind them up. I would not pass up Nature's fertilizer. It sure beats paying for it at Walmart. lol

I remember raking leaves when I was a kid. Of course, after making giant piles we would play in them...then rake it all up again! I do miss seeing the leaves change, cacti don't have leaves and they stay the same color LOL.

You have such great perspectives when you take your pictures. Very good shots!

I feel for him trying to keep up with the leaves on the ground. Kind of like when we do the dishes or laundry...never lasts for long!

My hubby is constantly using the leaf blower....all I can do is laugh at take his picture. Mean...I know.

So glad your son is able to be with you for Christmas.

Boy, can I relate! This was what Hal and I did yesterday...clean up the leaves! We love the fall colors, but oh, the job of cleanup that comes with it!
We have to do it together any more...it's to big a job for just one of us - and we're too old! It provides a time of togetherness, and achy bodies!!

Those leaves are beautiful! I'm sure they are a nuisance to you, though. :)

Mari,

Our yard was blanketed in leaves and I had asked the boys to come over last Saturday to rake them up. However, a fierce wind came up and by Saturday all the leaves had blown away. Our yard was quite clean. Now I'm waiting for the rest of the leaves to fall to see if I need to get the boys over here.

Wishing you a wonderful day.
Blessings,
Mary

Mari,

Thank you for capturing these beautiful pictures of all your fall leaves. I am sure there are still plenty left to go!

Fall is so pretty and so frustrating at the same time. We have one tree but I'm just sure there were more then one trees worth of leaves in our yard.

How frustrating for Bob! Now I feel bad about my little rant a while back, when I was cleaning the leaves after our north winds. That is laughable, in comparison to what you get! Poor Bob! :)

It's such fun to walk through the leaves. I miss them when winter arrives.
