A few weeks ago I showed you Bob's workshop. I have shown several of his carvings here, but have never shown any of the furniture he has made. Today I thought I would show the furniture he made for our bedroom.
.
.
This is my nightstand. I asked for one with a door, so I had a place to put books and any of the other things I tend to collect!
.
.
I wanted to show you the inside of the armoire so you could see the 3 little drawers he put in it. They work well for keeping all his little things, like keys, change... A lot of the oak for these came from the woods my uncle owned and where Bob used to hunt.
He has drawn up plans for a dresser, which will be his next big project.
He tends to be a perfectionist when he works on these things so they are made well and will last a long time. It makes them even more special to use because he made them.

He is so talented- what's better is that he shares his talent with family. I still remember how excited mom was to get the cabinet from him!
But what else would you expect from such a good egg.
May I borrow him for a little while? I need some furniture.
what a talented hubby you have! and the fact that you appreciate his work - and don't take him for granted - makes him a very blessed man to have YOU for his wife! :o)
Oh my goodness! They are beautiful. I hope he is thinking in the future and working on plans for cribs and such. What treasures to pass down.
Very impressive.
And Bob... Mari's right about the undies. LOL!
Smiles!
OMG, is it just a hobby for him or his trade? His work is wonderful. Good thing we don't live close by or I'd probably have to send Honey over there for some lessons;) Thanks for sharing Mari:)

I'm placing an order for a full sized headboard in the Mission or Craftsmen style. Tell him to take his time...I'm not going anywhere! :)
Ok I want to put in my order now. I need a dresser too, four or five drawer will do, thank you very much!!!
Seriously he is an expert and the craftmanship is beautiful.
He is Bob the Builder!!!! His work is magnificent! I do love that armoire! All the detail shows that he is a perfectionist! I wonder if he can fix teeth! I need a perfectionist to work on my teeth!
All kidding aside, Bob has tremendous talent! Mari, you are one blessed lady!
Wow, Awesome woodworking! He is very talented.
You're husband did a fabulous job, and what an heirloom to pass down someday to your children.
WOW!!! I am really impressed! What nice quality. I love all the details he includes. I would never have guessed it was homemade furniture, but you're right....that makes it all the more special.
