Bonnie put a challenge out last week - think of someone you would like to pay tribute to. After thinking about it, I came up with two. I have been so blessed by the family God placed me in. Today I want to pay tribute to my two sisters. (I have a great brother too, but today it's girl time) I am the oldest in my family, my brother is next. My sister Terri is 5 years younger than me and Cheri is 9 years younger. Of course we played together when we were young, although Cheri was only 10 when I got married and moved out. Now that we are all "older" we are best friends. I know if I need to talk to someone, I can call either of them - or both! If any of us needs help - we call each other. In troubled times, we depend on each other. I can share anything with them and know that I will receive honest, caring replies. They are both Christians and we are able to share our faith and ask for prayers from each other. They are both great moms and wives. We love spending time together and usually spend a good deal of that time laughing. We are often amazed by how alike we are. We have had occasions where we have all shown up dressed in very similar clothes and have been teased about being triplets. I have noticed when commenting on blogs, that if one of them is there before me, they probably said what I was about to say.
They probably won't be too happy with me for sharing these, but here are a few pictures from our childhood.
Here is one of those lovely church directory pictures. Cheri is front right and is 9. Terri is on the left and is 14 and I am in the back and am 18.
This is a family picture that was taken about 10 years ago. Cheri is 2nd from the right, Terri is 4th from the right and I am 4th from the left with our parents in the middle.
We have changed as we have gotten older, in some ways for the better and in some ways not, but we have always been a family that sticks together, in tough times and fun times. I love you both - thanks for being such wonderful sisters!

Mari, what a great tribute to your sisters! What an awesome thing to have such great relationships with Christ at the center!
Awwwww, I just love this. What a special way to honor your sisters and the great relationships you all share.
I don't have any sisters but I've found quite a few over the last few years that have filled that role for me! Thanks for being such a great sister in Christ!
I made your Mexican Chicken Soup yesterday. 6 thumbs up from the Hill house. Yummy.
Smiles!
I think this proves my point about reading each other's minds! I had no idea you were posting this today and you didn't know I was posting mine!
Too funny- I love you too.
Close Family relationships are special. Thank you for sharing.

So cute - what precious children and grew up to be such beautiful women - I am glad to be in the bloggy family! y'all make me wish I had sisters!
Where did you ever get that picture of us when we were young? I love it. Shaelyn just asked me the other day what I looked like and I have nothing to show her. That was a really nice post. I think we all feel the same way about each other. I don't know if I can do one now of the two of you unless I just link my post to both of you. Love you too!
How touching and special to have such a great relationship with your sisters. Very nice post. You have a great family!!!!
What a wonderful tribute, you sound like fabulous sisters! I love these photographs too. What a blessing, to have a close and loving family. I'm an only child so always wondered what it would be like to have a close sister or sisters. Thank you too for praying for my son, I can't tell you how much a sweet word like that lifts me up. I value it.
What fun to see your family through time! Sooo precious!
Sweet blessings!

I love it !!! I just finished reading Cheri's tribute and now there's more ! And with adorable photos !! Fantastic !!
Just as a little side note. I am the eldest of four as well. My brother is next in line and then my two sisters ! I thought it was neat when I read that your family was the same ...
Thanks for making me cry. How precious is this?! You three are so very blessed. I never had a sister and never thought I missed a thing until I watched my girls and the unique bond they share. God has blessed you with a very special gift. I'm glad you all have each other.
(Mari, I just love the photo from when you were 18...that's how I still remember you, great hair...mine was just like that :)
Sisters in the Lord and in the world. doesn't get any better than that. Blessings on you gals!! :)
That's so sweet. I have a sister and a brother, and they are priceless relationships. I love to hear stories of happy families.
What a great post.
My sister is 10 years older than me. When she would come home from college she made it a point to take me and my brother to the movies. She didnt want to be a stranger to us.
And now, the older we get, the smaller the gap of years between us.
What a great post!!! Precious pictures and really touching words. My siblings were 15, 16 and 17 when I was born. I always felt like I had 2 Moms and 3 Dads. My sister and I have grown closer like friends as we have gotten older. In fact, she is coming from Illinois to visit me this week. I'm so excited to have her here.
