Backyard visitors
We have a Maple tree in our backyard and right now the seeds are coming down like crazy. It makes the yard look a bit messy, but we have some cute visitors that are really enjoying it.
These squirrels are out there almost every time I look. They are so fun to watch, Our tree has a type of bark that peels and we've seen them sitting on a piece, like a little ledge on the tree trunk.
Then I saw something smaller and there was a little chipmunk busy eating too. Bob isn't always happy with the chipmunks because they dig tunnels under his flowers, but who can resist that little face?

Squirrels and chipmunks are great fun to watch. They scurry around so fast!
Awww....well, since we have a German Shep. There are no critters in the backyard. He/the dog did alert us the other to a baby bird that had fallen out of the nest. He sure was protective of that bird. Hubby carefully put the bird back and the mother bird was very happy.
They are indeed cute but can create problems.
What a cutie. We have not seen many squirrels at Grimmwood this year.

We have a squirrel problem here. I used to think they were cute until they started chewing on our house, making a mess of our bird feeders and scary the birds away. So now we capture them in a Have a Heart trap and re-home them about ten miles away... and hope they never return!

I love squirrels! They are so cute. I've thought of getting one of those little picnic table squirrel feeders. :)
Yes, they are so cute! Dan fusses about the squirrels all the time. We have a yardfull and they eat all the suet cakes we put out for the birds. Wish we had chipmunks here.
All the animals, rabbits, squirrels, badgers and deer we get in our garden are lovely but boy do they do damage!
Darling, precious wee critters! Tell Bob just live with the tunnels. Chipmunks are TOO cute! xoxo
