There are lots of flowers blooming, including the wild violets in our wooded area.
The candytuft adds a nice spot of white in the back yard.
This is a red twigged dogwood. I love the red color of the branches.
I always enjoy seeing the bleeding heart bloom.
This is our crab apple tree - almost ready to burst into bloom!
I love seeing the dogwood bloom!
And the daffodils are always such a cheery sight!
This is a snowball bush. I love the texture of the leaves, and the flowers will soon open.
This is an oak leaf hydrangea. The leaves stay very tightly rolled for some time. Here they are glowing in the sun and are finally opening up!
This is Brunea. It has silvery leaves and these dainty blue flowers.
The grape hyacinths are tiny but look pretty in a group against the trees.
Grecian Windflowers are also little, but make a nice splash of color when planted in a group.
The hosta are growing several inches a day. I love seeing them line the walkway.
Here's my gardener - surveying his work!

Mari, your yard is just amazing. I planted some impatiens and lantana and I hope they make it through the summer. I need your gardener's help!
Yes will you rent your gardener? He does great work. :)
So pretty at your place, Mari.
I purchased two new knock out roses with the hope that the grasshoppers don't eat them for lunch. However, I did also plant some meragolds in pots set around the rose bed. We shall see. :))
So I think you know I'm going out of town a few days. I'll catch up when I get back. xoxoxox
Happy May! You and Bob have such a lovely yard. I enjoyed all the blooms and am familiar with everything but the Brunea. I have always admire the gate that Bob built also. We like to walk around the yard late in the day too!
Have a blessed week.
What a nice looking gardener, smiles. Hubby asked me could he please put away the snow things/items now....lol
You have a beautiful yard and I always love seeing everything in it. Walking around in it gives an idea of what needs to go and what needs to come, if anything. Thanks for sharing with us.
You have a perfect gardener!!
Oh Mari, all the flowers....beautiful. It's been YEARS since I've seen a snowball bush. We had on in our front yard in Colorado. And the bleeding heart...my mother's favorite. She had to have them in EVERY yard we lived. The wild violets would be such a treat.
After all of the snow you've had I can only imagine how walking around your backyard makes your heart sing! Such a nice variety of flowers, Mari! I am espeically intrigued by the oak leaf hydarangea. Your gardener does a fantastic job!
I hope your week is a good one and that you aren't having to work so many hours. Praying for you, my friend!
What an amazing assortment of beautiful flowers your wonderful gardener has grown! It is so exciting to see the beautiful blooms spread their joy throughout the world for all to see, and I enjoyed each picture you shared, so beautiful today on this first day of May! :)
It all looks beautiful! I walk around my yard every few days and get so excited seeing everything popping up and growing.
Such a handsome gardener you have! :)
So nice to see your garden today. Now these are plants and flowers that don't grow out here in the southwest so I really liked viewing them. I love hydrangeas. I wonder what color the flowers will be? I liked them all and have to say--your property is gorgeous!
Your yard is always gorgeous! Your gardener is very talented indeed!
Happy May Day!
Thanks for the walk around to see
your spring flowers, lovely.
And your gardener.
My hubby is our gardener too :) Your flowers are beautiful!
Bob makes a beautiful garden! I'm sure you do too. I loved seeing your flowers, especially the Bleeding Hearts. Those are one of my favorite flowers.
That was such a pretty walk. Several years ago I had an Oak leaf Hydrangea and it was beautiful. Then it just died and I don't know why. You have a beautiful yard!
I know that feeling one gets when walking around the yard and seeing all the spring flowers popping up. You have a lot of spring flowers popping up and I am sure that it makes your heart sing. I bet that Bob cannot wait to get out there and begin to work in the gardens. What is it this year? Another flower bed? Another garden bench? Who knows? I do love the gate that he built. Happy dreaming and planning!
