Works for me Wednesday

I recently tried out the new Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet cleaning gel for the first time. It's a gel that you put on the inside rim of your toilet, so that every time you flush some of the cleaner is distributed. It's supposed to keep your toilets fresh smelling and clean for a week. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to work the applicator the first time, but was easy after that! There are 2 scents - fresh scent and citrus. I bought the fresh scent. You get a package of 6 gel discs and an applicator for about $4.
The scent is quite strong for the first few hours but I didn't find it overpowering and I was happy later in the week to find that I could still smell a clean scent when I walked into the bathroom. As for keeping the toilet clean, it did make a difference. I used it in both of our bathrooms and for some reason, one stayed cleaner than the other. We have hard well water and it did make a difference in the sediment that usually appears. It doesn't take away the need to clean the toilets though! The disc lasted over a week in one toilet and less than a week in the other, which I'm sure is due to how often they are flushed.
I liked this and will be buying this product again. If you want to see other tips and reviews, visit We are THAT family.

I've been using it for quite awhile now. I definitely recommend the citrus smell over the fresh. Both Mark and I found the fresh scent to be quite overpowering- in fact all the kids complained about the smell too.
I do really like the product- it does help keep the toilets clean longer than without.

I got one of these free to try through a company. I am not sure what scent I got but it was VERY overpowering. It actually made us feel nauseous. It may have been the citrus one. My family complained the whole 7 days. I am glad it worked for you. I did not see a difference. It could be that I have 7 people in my family and it could not keep up!! :)

I've wondered about this product, too. We have hard, well water just like you and it takes some work to keep the sprakling look. I'll give it a try now and hopefully the fact that there are only three of us here will help.

I have my bottle of Febreeze lavender sitting right next to me. I tried that right after you posted about it.

I love your tips including the road sign prayer guide!

Okay, I tried that and obviously I am not smart enough to use it, because it won the toilet battle against me trying to get it on there EVERY time. I did finally manage to do it properly, but it was such a hassle, and I started sweating, and I thought, This is INSANE. Lol!!! Maybe I got a defective one, though.

Or maybe I really am not smart enough to use it. ;) lol

This sounds PERFECT for us - especially with two little boys who are - um - not quite experts in all things potty. LOL!
