Show off your tree bling

Sara of Greetings from Butterville is hosting "Show off your tree bling" today. So, without further ado - here is my tree and some favorite ornaments.
.

This is a picture of a portion of my tree. You can't tell very well but I have some ornaments having in the middle and further back in the tree. I read hints on decorating the tree that said not to just hang your ornaments on the edges but to put them in the middle too, to give depth to the tree. It does make it look nice.

We also put lots of lights on our tree. We have a pre-lit tree, but as we are putting it together, we wind lights through the middle so it is full of lights.

We have lots of different sized balls and other purchased ornaments but I'm going to show you some that we made.

.

This is an angel I made from a doily several years ago. I have always liked angels on the tree.

.

Heather made this cool ball ornament. It's hard to tell on the picture, but it's full of beaded loops.

.

This cute little angel was made by Andy when he was about 5. It's body is a pine cone, the horn is a golf tee, the arms are pipe cleaners and it's wings are from a milk pod plant.

.

These are a sampling of Santa ornaments that Bob carved. I love these little guys!

.

And here is the whole tree. It looks so pretty all lit up.

To see more trees and ornaments stop over at Sara's blog!

Oh sweet niblets! That tree is lovely! Wear do I start? Look at the lights on it! WOW! Santa can't miss that! Does Bob sell his Santas? I want the one with the squishy face, he looks like he got some bad eggnog!:) I LOVE LOVE LOVE that angel that your son made, the pinecone one...that that is clever...I want to go try them right now. And the angel you made, well, I don't have that much patience, so you ROCK on the doilies. I have some ornamnet IN the tree only because they are old and or highly breakable...good tip. That means I needs to go buy more, I haven't enough to do the outside and inside of the tree! And I'm definatly adding more lights I have to keep up with you! Thanks for sharing! I have Linky up now.8AM

Thanks so much for the tip about putting ornaments further in on the tree for depth. I've never heard of that before, but I can tell it really does make a difference!

Also, I really liked the ornaments that your husband carved! Very nice!

I love the Santas! Those rustic country style ornaments. Thanks for your comments on my Random Mommy musings post. You certainly did give me something to think about. We're far from making a decision on that of course, so all the input we can get is welcome.

Mari,

Your tree is gorgeous and I'm glad you decided to show us the homemade ornaments. I love them all but the Santas that Bob carved are exquisite. This man could make a living with his carving.

Take care, my friend. I hope you have a relaxing evening. Enjoy that tree.

Blessings,
Mary
