More Kitchen News

I'm happy to report that there is great progress being made in our kitchen. While I was lazing around in a campground last week, Bob was coming home from work and getting lots done in the kitchen. He got the counter top on, the sink, faucet and dishwasher all installed and running. I was thrilled to come home and see it!

Here is my new sink and faucet. The basin in the sink is really big, so whole pans can fit in it. I also love the tall faucet. The counter doesn't show up too well in this picture, but it looks like dark marble.
.

Here is a view that shows more. Do you see that lovely dishwasher? I have been enjoying using it all week.
As I post this, Bob has finished putting up the tile for the back splash. It just has to set, and then it can be grouted. The floor comes after that. It's almost done!

Yay for you! It looks great and I can't wait to see it with the tiles up and floor done. Bob did a great job. I love a deep sink, but I've never had a really, really good one. I'm hoping my new one is. I haven't seen it, but it's called deep, so we'll see. What a nice welcome home gift from camping.

Wow, Mari! I'm salivating. One of these days I'm doing our counters, too. One of these days...

Thanks so much for your comment on my blog. I wasn't too clear, but let me clarify here: I was not complaining about the "drifting away" of my commenters... I was actually talking about how many of the BLOGGERS that I regularly read are not posting as much as usual due to summer "stuff." I'm so sorry if I made anyone think that I was complaining about COMMENTERS drifting off! Trust me, I COMPLETELY understand the lack of time to comment constantly. Don't ever worry about that. :)

Can't wait to see your final finished product of a kitchen. Enjoy!

Love,
Jen

Gorgeous! I love your sink. Your set up is similar to my kitchen. My frig is to the left of the dishwasher and the stove sets in between some cabinets to the right of the lazy susan.... where did they come up with the name 'lasy susan'?

Yes! I love it!!! My cupboards are going to be refaced to hopefully look like yours..work starts the 19th. He did an amazing job, they look brand new. My house is still semi-torn up from redoing the family room and dining room. Hopefully by Thanksgiving I'll be put back together!

I love the new kitchen sink! Everything is coming along smoothly. Aren't husbands just wonderful? What would we do without them?

Mari,

Your kitchen is coming along great. On Monday the plumber will install everything in the upstairs bathroom.

I really like your new kitchen counter top. You made a good choice. This is very neutral and will go well with a lot of different colors if you decide to change your kitchen.

Wow! Nice dishwasher. I've never had one, but don't have room for one. My daughter really likes hers and the boys find it so easy to load and unload it. They have never done dishes by hand. LOL

We have both been working on our projects for some time and I'm glad that they are drawing to a close for both of us. Great new look!

Blessings,
Mary

You and Bob did an amazing job on this kitchen! I love the new faucet and that deep sink. At the moment I have only a single sink. My hubby has a double sink waiting to be put in. We just haven't gotten around to it. Your kitchen is lovely!

Hi Mari

I've enjoyed "catching up" with you tonight. My Mom and Aunt left this morning, so I'm working hard to visit all of my blogging friends.

Wow! You've been busy. It looks like your "camping" trip was fun. I was so glad to see you had a camper. LOL I couldn't imagine a tent! I'm quite impressed with your hubby's carving. Wow! And your new kitchen...what a dream! Thank you for the award. I'll add it to my blog tomorrow.

BTW...today is my blog's 3rd birthday! Amazing! Thanks for being such a sweet blogging friend!

Hugs!
