Last week was Nurses Appreciation week. We received some lovely treats during the week. On Tuesday a massage therapist was in our building for the afternoon and each of the nurses was treated to a 15 minute massage. It was wonderful and so relaxing. On Friday we were given a nice lunch.
Just look at all this food. We had Chicken cordon bleu , green beans with bacon, redskin potatoes, crescent rolls and chocolate cake. It was delicious but we all needed doggie bags! Our job can be hectic at times and we enjoyed the special treatment! This week is Nursing Home week so we have a lot of fun planned for our residents!

I had a wonderful Mothers Day. We went to church with Laura and Aaron and had dinner at their house. Dinner was great, and spending time with them was better. I had a call from Andy, in Korea in the evening. He will find out where his permanent station will be on Thursday. He said he is still getting accustomed to the 13 hour time difference but he is doing well. He sounded a little congested and when we asked, he said the pollen is so bad that they call it the yellow dust! Hopefully it won't be that bad in his permanent location! We had a good connection this time and as you can imagine, I was thrilled to hear from him.

We were all treated by Dr H for administrative assistants day. We went to the country club for lunch and he gave us a gift card to W/W for flowers or whatever.
I was just thinking about you and hoping you got to hear from Andy..woohoo! Nothing better than that phone call when they are so far away.
Glad you had a great Mother's Day.
Very well deserved I would say! I think Nurses are awesome fabulous folk - it's a gifting! Bless you all heaps!!

Glad you had a great mother's day and that you have been 'officially' appreciated ! I think you would make a wonderful nurse ! I'm sure your patients think so too !!
22 MILLION DOLLARS! THAT IS THE WINNING LOTTO TICKET, SAY, CAN YOU PUT JELLY IN MY MASH POTATOES? Well, I think that is where he wanted the jelly. Anyway, You are well appreciated for all the hard work you do and to keep your humor alive and enjoy your job. You got a couple nice treats at work. Cool deal schmeal! Glad you had a chance to talk to Andy and that the phone call was more clear.
Love ya!
For anyone wondering what Shelly is talking about, I'll just say that she used to work with me and that was nursing home humor!
That meal sure looks yummy. Thank you Lord for all the nurses of the world, including you and our daughter.
I'm glad your Mother's Day was so special. I KNOW hearing from Andy made your day.
Hugs!

Happy belated Nurses Appreciation!
You ladies so deserve appreciation! I'm so glad that you were able to hear from Andy yesterday!
You guys deserve all that attention. I've always said it takes a very special person to work at a nursing home and you sure fit that bill!!
Glad you had a great Mother's Day!
I guess I didn't realize you were a nurse! Must deserved! You are very appreciated for all you do! Glad you got to talk with your son too.
As the mother of two nurses, I can honestly say, every day should be nurses day. It takes a special calling to be a nurse, blessings on all of you!
Glad your Mother's Day was sweet - and glad to hear Andy is well, even fighting all that pollen!
What a great meal - it looks delicious. I'm glad you heard from Andy again. That time change is rough to get used to. I hope that the pollen count improves where he is permanently stationed! Tell him we say "hi" the next time he calls!
Glad you had a good Mother's Day. That food looks yummy! I hope Andy adjusts well and you are able to hear from him often!

From me to you I want to say THANK YOU to you and all the other wonderful nurses in the world. Our experience living in the PICU for 51 days was better than it could have been because we were blessed with some AMAZING nurses (whom we are still friends with today).
