Buckle up!

Thursday was National Day of Prayer in the United States. Our church hosted a community prayer service in the evening. When we got to church, one of the women who is known for her good chocolate chip cookies told Andy that she had a bucket of them made for him to enjoy before he had to leave. Since he loves her cookies you can be sure that he had a big smile on his face after hearing that!
After the service we were talking for a little while and when we walked out, Andy was already in the van. When we got to the van, we found Andy in the drivers seat and this in the passenger seat:
It's the bucket of cookies! He said he was letting us sit together in the back seat and keeping the cookies safe with him in the front. He is always doing funny things like this and making us laugh! The cookies did make it home safely, but I don't think they stayed safe for too long once they entered the house!

Mari,

LOL I bet Andy was thrilled to death and what a kind and generous act on the part of your friend.

Thanks for your comments on my post tonight. I appreciate your kindness. Please pray that this will be resolved smoothly and quickly.

Blessings for a great weekend.
Mary

Tell Andy he is very lucky! There were 2 staff persons of the female persuasion that were eyeing those cookies, but didn't dare for fear of them being counted! TEE HEE! Me bad!!! Oh P too!

That is a funny picture! Precious cargo indeed!

How wonderful for you to have this time with Andy before he leaves. I know you are cherishing every moment/

I had to laugh at your description of important things that were in your lost luggage in the post below! How true!! OUr family has had a number of luggage situations over the years. I think the funniest (for us, not for her) was the time my sister Janet flew to a big Brethren in Christ denominational convention in California and arrived late at night without her luggage, including all the important things that middle-aged women cannot be presentable without. Her luggage arrived sometime the next day, but she had to attend the first session in the morning without makeup and with very bad hair. Her husband offered her his cap!

That is totally something Al would do. No wonder you "get" his humor so well.

I love a man with a sense of humor!
What a sweet friend to set a batch aside like that...they were worthy of the front seat!

Mari, I know you will treasure these next few days with Andy - seems it's pretty easy for you guys to make some fun memories.

I suggest having someone drop your family along with the cookies out in the middle of nowhere WITH the GPS system and see how long it takes you to get back home going on by the directions it gives you. You should have plenty of time to eat all the cookies!
