Memorial Day

Monday is Memorial Day in the United States.  It's the unofficial start to Summer; many people open their cottages and camp for the first time of the year, lots of yard work is done and the BBQ's are fired up.  However, the real reason for Memorial Day is to stop and remember, and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defending our country and others.  So, while you are enjoying the day, be sure you take time to remember!

We remembered, both in church yesterday and as a family today. Plus we had a cookout and lots of scrumptious sides, and a birthday party for Erica. It was a wonderful day and I'm grateful to all those who died for our freedoms. God bless America. xoxo

I heard Michael Savage on the radio call out to us Americans who like to pray to make sure we say prayers for families of fallen soldiers. If we've not lost anyone in war, we don't know their pain but we can pray just the same. I thought that was a good word.
