Random Updates

I have a few different things to share with you today.  First I want to show you a picture from my Valentines Day.  I had the day off and had MOPS in the morning (Moms of pre-schoolers where I am a mentor mom).  It's always a joy to meet with these ladies, and as usual we had a good time.  From there I went to Laura's house and picked up Ruby.  Alaina had a Valentine party at school and Laura was invited to help.  I had such fun with Ruby in the afternoon.

Here she is wearing my slippers.  She got them from our room and was pretty pleased with herself.  She "helped" me do a lot of things and we enjoyed the afternoon.  Her help usually means it takes twice as long, but it's also twice as fun.

This past weekend our daughter Heather and her husband Andrew went away for the weekend to celebrate their anniversary.  We got to take care of our "grandcat" Oliver while they were gone.

Oliver settles in like he never left.  We always enjoy having him around.  He especially likes to sit on Bob's lap in the evening, and follows me around the house when I'm home.

I also want to update you on my workplace.  It's been wonderful working in the new addition.  The residents are loving it and it's been very busy.  I'm still working lots of hours - too many double shifts or 12 hours.  When I work a normal day, I feel like I'm getting out early!  However, we have hired a full time 3-11 nurse who will start in a week, so there is improvement in sight.  We need one more full time nurse.  I know I have people praying for me, and I so appreciate it.  I do feel those prayers and have been amazed at how good I feel after working 16 hours.  I know it's strength that God is giving me, because on my own, I'd be exhausted.  Please keep praying for that right person to apply!

What a special day spent with your granddaughters, I had to chuckle about your comment "it took twice as long, but was twice as fun", lol! So true! Glad that things are working out better for you at work, it sounds like you have a lot of responsibilities! Hugs to you today, have a great week!

Ruby is precious wearing your slippers. I can see she is pretty proud of herself. Happy Anniversary to Heather and husband and it is great to see Oliver! I remember how Alaina loved on him when he lived at your home. So thankful you have hired 3 nurses and I pray for that last slot to be filled. May the Lord richly bless you this week. xoxo

Ruby makes for a happy day, just seeing her smile! She is such a cutie and bet she is just as fun to be with. I will pray for a new nurse, and soon. I know how hard those double shifts are, and if they last for a long time, takes a toll on you. The kitty looks so content at your house.

Praying for just the right hire for your workplace and believing God that she is on her way to you. I love the pics of your grand kids and little Ruby (love her name) has a smile that warms me! Oliver is beautiful.

Yes, Ruby is "very helpful." I'm not sure how I'd get anything done without her. :) Praying they find that perfect nurse soon!

Ruby? What can I say...adorable. Oliver? PURReciius. Your job? Hope someone who is trustworthy and efficient comes along sooner than later.

That Ruby is a doll baby! It is easy to see why you have a lot of fun with her. And you are a blessing by the way you look at her "helping" you as having twice the fun! I love that!

Prayers continuing for that one more person as a full time nurse at your work! I know that God has "just the right person" out there and He's working at moving her in place. :-)

Ruby is just the best and I know that she is a lot of fun. I am so glad that she has grown and like to stay with G $ G. It is nice that Oliver remembers his old digs. He loves his G & G as well. I will pray that they hire another nurse to lighten your load.

This picture is just precious! I remember my daughter and niece playing "Bonnie" and "Dale" (my best friend) when they were little. Now my little girls love their Grandy's shoes more than mine! Cutie Patootie, little Ruby!

Ruby! How I love seeing pictures of that special, cute little girl. She's growing and always smiling. :)

What a darling picture of that adorable Ruby. Dagny also loves to wear any shoes she finds lying about but she is expressly forbidden in this house! She stumbles and falls even when wearing (or not) her own shoes. I know you are enjoying the bright shiny new facility but I do pray that soon your hours may become more normal. You need your free time and your sleep in order to recharge. xoxo
