Grandpa has been busy!

Bob's been working on a little project for Alaina and Ruby.  I had bought a few wooden kids chairs that I wanted to refinish and use when taking photos.  When the lady I bought them from advertised that she had a few more, Bob said he would sand and paint them, then make a kids table to go with them.  He finished the set so we made a delivery on Saturday evening.

Here he is setting it up.  Alaina is pretty excited to see it put together.

Even Grandpa can sit at the table!

Alaina didn't waste any time in getting out her kitchen stuff.

"What are you doing Grandma?"  I'm trying to play here!

They were 2 happy girls, which made us happy too!

Oh just precious. Little kids love tables to pile stuff on. This will keep those two poppets busy for hours. Hey Mari I researched Chick-fil-A in Michigan. You're right. This past July it was reported that CFA has bought an old Perkins restaurant at 2332 North Park Drive in Holland Township. They bought it in May but on the CFA site there's no mention of an upcoming opening there. So let's keep our fingers crossed that nothing goes awry! xoxo

But there is already a CFA in Rochester. You can be there in under three hours. Don't wait until snow flies. Haaahaha xoxo

Perfect for the girls Mari. I do not know what I would have done without a table for my grands. They sit there to play, eat snacks etc...And I love that Grandpa can sit at the table as well.

That is adorable! My neighbor has one for her children and they love to eat their snacks on the table.

Marie, Bob did a fantastic job with the tables and chairs. I bought a table and two chairs at a yard sale when I was still selling at the fleamarket. Hubby sanded it and we painted the table white with red, blue and green primary colored legs. It sold in no time.

If Bob can find more chairs and make another table, people would buy them for Christmas. It's hard to find good furniture for kids now days. Mostly, they are plastic and they want a fortune for them.

Way to go, Grandpa! He is so talented. I love having a small table and chairs too. My kids are a little big to sit at the table these days but they do still use the chairs. My husband found our set at a yard sale when I was pregnant with our first baby and he refinished it. I think it's from the 50's. I plan to keep it for our grandchildren to use someday. :)

Those girls will have many hours of happy play time at Grandpa's new table and chairs. You are good grandparents.

I knew they would like this table of their own size to sit and color and stuff, but I had no idea how much they would love it and want to do everything there! Eating snacks, playing kitchen, pretty much everything. In fact, it's Ruby's favorite place to climb and be dangerous. It was a definite win! Thanks again Grandpa for your hard work - it will be a cherished gift for a long time!
