The Princess and the Pea

Halloween was a dreary night here.  It was cold, rainy and windy.  We didn't get a single trick or treater until a princess and a pea came by to visit.  They both looked adorable.  We did find out that there is some truth to that fairy tale - sometimes the pea does bother the princess!

Here they are, looking so cute!  Laura made Alaina's princess dress and made her a tote bag to match.  She bought Ruby's pea outfit.

The princess was quite proud of her gloves!

 The pea was very smiley!

The pricess' hairdresser had done her hair up fancy!

The pea wasn't worried about her hair.  She knew she looked cute no matter what!

The princess and the pea had fun playing with Grandpa.

It sure is fun to see them all dressed up!

I'm listening to pretty music in my headphones as I read this, and I must tell you Mari that the sight of those darling girls dressed up like that, in combination with my music, made me tear up. It got worse when I saw the look on Bob's face as he held Ruby. HE GONE. Haaaahaa believe me, I know the feeling. TG practically evaporates with joy when he lays eyes on Dagny, and I am useless around her because all I want to do is gaze upon her and hug and kiss her. But Ruby as a pea ... that is sheer genius. That precious little face. And beautiful sweet Alaina, beaming and living large as per usual. Nicely played, Laura. Very nicely played. You all are close to my heart. xoxo

Marie, they are both just adorable. How wonderful for them to drop by for a visit while they were dressed up for Halloween. I certainly enjoyed seeing them. We didn't have one trick or treater this year.

Thanks for dropping by the Writing Nook.

They sure do love their Grandpa and Grandma! Ruby must have loved wearing her costume because she sure was in a good mood!

I'm glad you liked their costumes Jenny! :) And yes, Grandpa is wrapped right around their little fingers for sure! And they know it too! Alaina tricked Grandpa into letting her having another piece of candy!

I can't believe that I didn't leave a comment here because I remember looking at Alaina and Ruby's costumes. Maybe the phone rang. Anyway, they are certainly looking so sweet in their costumes.
