Flea Market Frenzy

On Saturday there was a huge flea market near me. It was full of vendors selling old and refurbished things.  I went with my daughters, Laura and Heather.  Since Aaron was out of town, we took Ruby and Alaina too.
We soon found out that it appeared every woman in West Michigan wanted to go too.  There were cars filling every street around.  We ended up going to a nearby park and walking to the venue.  At this point we were wondering about our sanity and if we would even be able to find anything with all the crowds!

Here's Ruby, ready to fight the crowds!

We decided to check the outside booths first.   It was crowded, but do-able.

There were a lot of cute things, most were reasonable priced.

Then, we went into the buildings.   This is what it looked like inside.  It was so crowded that you really couldn't even stop at a booth.
We decided it wasn't worth anymore shopping and walked back to the car.

As we walked back through the park, Alaina had to go down this slide.  When she got to the top, she wasn't too sure, and Laura ended up going down with her.

Fun ride!
And that was it for our flea market shopping.
I did make a few purchases.  Want to see?

I found a pretty ironstone plate and bowl.  (Bonnie would have loved shopping here)  The plate was only $1!  I also got the Give Thanks sign which will soon be out with my Fall decor.  The other sign can go into that frame when Thanksgiving is done.
It was a fun day, even with the crowds!

Wow - I'll say, that was quite a crowd. I like your purchases though!

The slide? I've been there many times when the kids were younger; I think once you go with them they find it easier to go alone the next time or two. I can tell Alaina enjoyed having mom go with her. :)

Ruby? She is a doll; that hair - I just love it! :)

What a steal on your purchases. I agree, it would've been too crowded for me.
I love your granddaughter's hair!

Oh my, I LOVE that bowl!! I am such a sucker for platters and bowls! Those are beautiful. The sign is very cute too! Ruby and her fly-away hair is so adorable!! Alaina will go down that slide by herself next time, I bet! Too bad the crowd was so big at the flea market, but glad you found a few things to purchase! Always fun!

I haven't been to a flea market in a long time but I remember them always being very crowded. Fun, though! I hope to go again soon. I love what you bought, especially the ironstone. Thanks for sharing, Mari.

I loathe crowds so I could never do that. But I LOVE your dishes. I am all about white dishes. xoxo

It was quite crazy - I sure didn't expect anything like that. Next year we'll make sure Aaron is going to be home and we can go without the kiddos. :)

Love Ruby's hair! And it looks like you found some great deals--everything you bought looks lovely. And going down that slide definitely looks like fun!

I like Ruby's hair. I have tried to fix my hair like that for years, but it will not stay up. I wonder what kind of hair spray Ruby uses? I think that that hairstyle says, I am alive and excited. I need that look really badly. As you can tell, I am having a bad hair day.

I am giving my beautician a hard time. I cut a little on my hair every day and by the time I get to my appointment, she is about to pull her hair out. She is pretty nice though and says, "Oh we will shape it up."
