A trip or maybe two, to the greenhouse

We are lucky to have one of the biggest greenhouses around, just 10 minutes down the road.  People come from all over, even other states to visit this greenhouse.  The road it's on, is one you want to avoid on a nice Saturday in the Spring, because traffic gets pretty backed up!
I was there last week to buy a few hanging baskets, and a small planter.  Bob and I, along with Alaina stopped Friday night to get some perennials. It's so fun to just wander around!

Here is the front section.  There are 8 acres of greenhouse here!

There is a playground for the kids.  They also sell hot dogs, caramel corn, popcorn...

These cats live here; you may run into one or two as you walk the aisles.

I'm standing near the middle here, and there are flowers as far as you can see.

Such pretty colors!
This side is the annuals, the other side is perennials, and next to that is a 2 acre nursery.

Here's a few of our purchases.  I'm sure we'll be going back before long!

I remember you telling us about this place before ... I STILL can't get my head around how huge that greenhouse is. We don't have anything like that here. And I'm not a cat person but adding cats and food makes it sound incredibly fun. I love how you're giving Alaina such wonderful memories. xoxo

The place is beautiful but I don't do very well in such large places. We go to JW Greenhouse (the other place) across the road. They also have a nice selection. I'm sure Alaina had ball.

Wow! Big place, lots to see! I went to an Amish farm near us to get annuals and to Lowes to purchase some baskets and perennials. Hubby plants and takes care of them. He has the green thumb in this family :). Your purchases are beautiful!

Oh, I could spend all day there. It is nice not to have snow, eh? Waving to Alaina. Blessings

What an amazing greenhouse. It looks like they have an excellent selection of anything you could want. I like that they let you know about their cats; there are often animals around a place like that and it's good to meet them. :)

Now that looks like a fun place to visit! My thumbs are decidedly black, but Ivan really enjoys gardening so we have fun wandering around at greenhouses.
