100 years of syle

I found this cute little video that goes through 100 years of style in 100 seconds.  It was made to celebrate the grand opening of a shop in London.  It's fun to see the change of fashion through the years.  I think that although clothes are easier to care for and probably more comfortable, the styles were classier 100 years ago.   What do you think?

Mari,

I absolutely love the 20's-40's. Such class, oh how I wish we would go back to that. I could only imagine what they would think of what we are wearing today.

How fun! I love hats! Love the fact that many years ago, women "dressed" to go out to the store: hats, gloves etc. Now, all you see is women and men in their pj's. Sad really. ANYWAYS, Thanks for sharing. Blessings

That is cute and I definitely think the attire of years gone by, is much more classy. Today it seems rags and riches are the same, and ladies sometimes look like men, and vice versa. Growing up, we always dressed to go downtown; now you see guys with their pants almost down to their knees, girls with dresses so short, you are afraid to look.

Hi Mari! How clever is this? And even the music changed to reflect the times.
I kind of miss the flapper age! I love the clothes and the dancing was so fun too.
Great video!

What a neat video! I love the old fashion styles. I wish I had a wardrobe from the 1930s-40s.

That was a fun video!! I love the styles from the 40s, especially. You are right about fashions being classier "back then". Thanks for sharing this!

Well no I prefer the fashion of today I have to say. It was classy back in the day but very gender specific, and a little dull and formal. Saying that I do think there were certain eras like the 80's and 90's that were a little more colourful and fun than now.

Nice video!

That was fun, I do like the older fashions I like the more tailored look and there is nothing more handsome then a man in a suit.
