Signs of Fall

There's not a whole lot of color in the leaves around here yet, but it's starting. I am seeing some other signs of Fall though.

This is along the road in front of our house.  They're opened Beech nuts from the neighbors tree across the road.  We've never seen so many before, usually it's just a scattering of them.  I have to wonder how many are in their yard if it looks like this over here!

The berries on the viburnum are brilliant red and the leaves are starting to change too.

This little vine looks pretty next to the weathered gray fence.
Are you seeing much Fall color in your area?

Love those red berries....Our trees are beginning to turn and fall...It looks like this fall is going to be full of color...Last year, not so much....

My dad used to have a couple beech trees. I've never seen the likes of beech nuts as in your photo.
The vine is pretty against the fence. Not much color here, some of the crape myrtles are changing a bit. We've had so much rain this year, I wonder if we'll have the brilliant colors. Our oak leaves are turning brown and falling already. 40 mph winds help...

Even tho we are surrounded by mountains, it is just barely beginning to show signs of fall. It is late this year.

We see only bits and pieces of Autumn here right now...more so around December actually.

Just LOOK at those nuts would you? Wow. And the red berries with the leaves turning...beautiful. Oh and the weathered wood fence....magical and oh so very pretty.

we're just starting the color change here - thankfully parts of the National Park are open and have gorgeous yellows already!

Pretty photos! I love those berries. I've never had that kind of tree myself but I have always admired them.

Unfort. up here in upstate/western NY, I do believe they have peaked. I say unfort. cause they sure are pretty, many cold nights below 36* and days only in the 50's. I'm right be wrong..tomorrow we are heading up to Keuka Lake for a funeral, and I will def. be looking, lol. Blessings

Pretty photos and I especially love the berries. Not much color here yet. I'm hopeful the rainy summer will allow us to enjoy a colorful fall. Have a nice weekend, Mari.

Oh my, I would've thought your leaf color was in full tilt by now! You have a lovely autumn in store and it will happen soon, I'm sure. We have some pretty color around here too, probably because it was such a wet summer. I love that picture of the viburnum berries.

Lovely, lovely signs of fall. Thank you for sharing. I have been out of town and am now catching up on my blogging...I am going to print off and try your coke pot roast recipe. Sounds so yummy! Enjoy your week.

Yes autumn is really on it's way here. Not so much with the colour of the leaves but just the fact that there are so many that need clearing up!

Beautiful pics.

I don't think our colors area as vivid as they were last year. Probably that very warm spell we had a couple of weeks ago has something to do with it. But I'll take the warm temps as long as possible. I remember that last year when we got home from Florida (same exact week), my flowers were all dead. Not so this year.
