Pink alert!

A friend of mine is going to be a grandma for the first time soon. I was invited to a baby shower and had to share some of the cuteness with you.

It's a girl! See all the pink in these gifts? We all thought the one bag was packaged so cute, using a pink boa instead of tissue paper in the bag.

We had pink and purple cupcakes - yum!

Is this not the cutest fruit salad?

Here is the mom to be, playing one of the games. It was the "sniff the diaper game". This version involved putting baby food into a diaper and trying to guess what kind of food it was. As you can imagine, there was lots of laughter during this!

I think the experience I've had with baby food lately was helpful, because I won the game!

My prize was this beautiful piece of pottery. Doesn't it look nice in my dining room?

We had such fun playing games, eating and showering that baby with love!

How fun!! When I played that smell-the-diaper game it was all kinds of chocolate candy melted in the diapers! It looked entirely too realistic!! And there we were smelling them and picking them apart to see what the contents consisted of!! We were just screaming laughing!!

Love the boa idea! The cupcakes are so pretty and look delicious!
Can you imagine men playing that game?! Some would be throwing up even though the stuff is pretend! Ha!
(My ex was quite good at diaper changing and never shirked from it, so I was blessed there. However, I know of a few men who will absolutely not change the diaper--next door for instance. He didnt' as a father and he doesn't as a grandfather---makes him gag!):>)
Glad you had a good time and it looks like the mother-to-be had a lot of presents to open!

I garnered several ideas from your post, Mari! (I'd be happy to "garner" that pottery piece, too! Very nice...)

And happy belated anniversary. Have been busy getting ready to move, so not as much time on the computer this week, so I missed your anniversary on Monday. Hope y'all had a great day!

Mari, I love the look on the Mom's face! Priceless! Much fun had by all I'm sure!

Congratulations to Grandma, Mom and the entire family!

I wish I could just put one finger into that cupcake!! Oh my goodness!

That pottery is beautiful!!!!!! Did you know that that has been a secret desire of mine for a very long time -- to actually make a piece of pottery from beginning to end...firing it up and everything :)

Thanks for sharing with us! I have missed my visits on this and your other blog where I am headed now. I've always loved your photography!!

Much love and prayers for you and your family!

OK I think that's a gross game but don't hold it against me please! I have a weak stomach! That pottery jug looks like it was made to go on your shelf! And that fruit salad idea is brilliant. I love babies.
