A bad situation

This bridge is on the Old Donner Pass Highway. It has a spectacular view of Donner Lake and Donner Pass on Route 80.
Look closely at the Arch under the bridge.

A bear was walking across Rainbow Bridge (Old Hwy 40 at Donner Summit and Truckee) when 2 cars crossing the bridge, scared the bear. The bear jumped over the edge of the bridge. Somehow he caught the ledge and was able to pull itself to safety. Authorities decided that nothing could be done to help that night so they returned the next morning, when they found the bear asleep on the ledge.

They secured a net under the bridge.

The bear was tranquilized, and fell into the net.

It was lowered down while it slept.

And when it woke up - it walked out onto solid ground.

There is a moral to this story:
When confronted with a bad situation, often the best solution is to stop worrying and let the Lord take care it!

I gasped too! The analogy is fantastic - stop worrying, have a rest, and God will make a way out. For while we are sleeping He provides Ps. 127:2

Mari, this was perfect timing! I was seriously worried about something that I was going to be confronted with today. Last night, I woke up panicking and then somehow felt God telling me, "Why worry? Don't you know that I've got this?" At that point, I totally surrendered and fell asleep again. Today, that situation that I worried about, never came to be. Loved the pictures of the bear's rescue. Glad he's safe.

What a good reminder of Gods care and keeping. What do the people do who don't know Him? I really do need to be more willing to share the Good News.

OMG when I first saw the first picture you posted and read I thought the bear had died, but I was very happy to see he is alive and well. Yes...good moral to the story too. What else could he do. It must of been frightening for him.

This is an awesome story. My heart sank to think he was stranded. So relieved to see his or her safety. How scarey that would be.
