Winter Drive

We've been getting lots of snow lately. On Saturday, we got 9 inches! Sunday morning when I went to work it was 17 below 0. The only saving grace to this weather is how pretty everything looks.
I took a drive around our block and took some pictures out the window, to show you what it looks like here in West Michigan.

I love seeing the branches all covered in white.

This gravel road is really pretty, but not real nice to drive on!

Do you see the leaves on this tree still hanging on, even in the snow?

I think each tree has it's own special beauty in each season. I love the snow on the pine trees, but I also love the delicate lacy look of the snow on the branches of the other trees.

And we've made it back home. My driveway is just beyond the pine tree on the left. Hope you enjoyed the drive!

What a pretty drive! I think every type of tree and shrub looks pretty with fresh snow on it. Then after I see it, I wish it would melt. LOL!

So delicately covered with the icing sugar! Looks great - but ask me if I know how horrible driving is in this stuff! - Up here, it's going to be above 0 all week - yay!!!

17 below? Oh my. I have been complaining about our negative 3 today... I better get my act together. You are so right though. It sure is pretty. Stunning!

So thankful you made it back home safely. They say we are going to get lots of rain instead of snow, this time. I am probably the only person in my state that would rather have snow..lol!

andrea

Lovely! But I'm thankful to be looking at your photos and not experiencing the snow myself :) I'll take the heat any day!

Lovely pictures! I´m enjoying your snow pics so much, me being in such a different climate and season. I´m sure it´s hard to see the beauty when everything is so slippery and cold.

Just divinely beautiful! Great pictures, Mari. I prefer to experience it all from here where it will be 50 degrees today! I hope you stay warm and safe as you go about your daily activities.

That was a beautiful trip around your neighborhood! I love the beauty of the snow, but I have to admit to feeling anxious for Spring.

It was nice to finally catch up on your blog today. :) I'm jealous of all your freezer meals! What a great job done!

And the tator joke. Lol! Thanks for that!

very pretty! The pictures remind me of the quietness that comes with all that snow - probably one of my favorite things about it!

I think I need to drive out your way to get some winter pics. Lindsey made a joke out of my little pictures because they included the electrical wires. Hey, I was on my front porch and just shot a couple pics. Argh, I just don't have the talent that you two have. Awesome photos Mari! You are so talented.

17 below!! That just gave me a cold shiver! I honestly couldn't imagine going out in 17 below zero. I'd be home in my pj's all day!

As cold as it is, no doubt about it, it is beautiful to look at.
