More parties

We had the party for my side of the family a few days before Christmas. It was nice being together again. My niece Katelyn had been in India for 4 months and both she and Andy were able to be there. However - our daughter Laura had the awful flu which has been going around here, so we missed her.

This is my brother with my 2 youngest nieces. They pretend to try to get away from him, but they really love to be caught!

Bob and Cheri. What do you suppose they are up to?

My Dad and stepmom, opening packages.

We have a tradition in our family of Santa letters. What happens is "Santa" sends letters with little gifts to a few deserving recipients each year. These are usually family members who have done something to disappoint Santa. The letters are read out loud, and always result in lots of laughter from the rest of the family.
The recipients of this years letters are shown below:

My brother Duane, got a light up reindeer nose, to remind him of the Christmas spirit. His offense? Getting his sisters to do his Christmas shopping and wrapping for him every year!

Bob got a mirror with 2 sides. On one side, he could see himself, but if he turned it over, he would see the faces of my sisters and I, and it would remind him of the way he should be acting.
His offense? There are too many to mention, but they are mostly about picking on his sister-in-laws!

Aaron got a box with a few things in it; a hat to keep warm while shoveling, some "Hugs", a booklet on how to get along with the relatives (which said the in-laws and aunts are always right and they are very easy to get along with)
His offense? Saying he needed help in getting along with his in-laws and aunts.
We had a fun night with no shortage of laughter!

Those are great ideas! I miss family gatherings like that. The best part of it is everyone coming together and sharing the laughter.
