It was Mothers Day in the U.S. today. My girls and their families came over for supper on Saturday so we could celebrate.
They told me they were coming, and not to worry about anything - they would have it all. And they did! We had such a lovely meal!
This is the cutest little crocheted cactus, that Heather gave me because I can't keep plants alive in the house. :) The card is a picture Cassie drew of her family and the little blue things are flowers. I also got a gift card to use to by a planter for the porch.
On Sunday, we had a nice service at church, and after lunch Bob and I went for a hike at a local park.
This park used to have a resort on the property where people would come by train from Chicago to enjoy in the early 1900's. This house was the owners home and it's been restored. Today, a few volunteers had it open so people could come in and see it.
We had a call from our son Andy in KY in the evening. It was a very nice Mother's Day and I'm so thankful for each of my kids and grandkids.
