Cooking Thursday

I made this yummy cherry cobbler a few weeks ago.  It was actually given to us as a little Christmas gift by my niece Katelyn.  I put the ingredients in the pantry and kept forgetting to make it.
Because she had most everything in a mason jar, it was very easy to put together.  It was really good too.  So here's a recipe for you that you can make for yourself, or you can package it up and give it as a gift!

Fruit Cobbler
Ingredients:
1 stick butter
1 cup milk
1 can pie filling, flavor of your choice
Mason Jar Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 dash salt
Melt butter in 9x9 baking dish.
Mix mason jar ingredients with milk and pour over butter.
Spoon pie filling over ingredients in pan, don't stir.
Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
*To give as a gift, mix dry ingredients and put in a pint mason jar.  Give jar with a can of pie filling.  It's a sweet gift!

It looks awesome! Our daughter-in-law's favorite is cherry pie. She once ate an entire one. And this is a nice twist on it.

So you supple all the dry ingredients in a mason jar and give as a gift and they supply the wet. Nice....I like that and that does look yummy.
