Here's how the first day of December went for me.
December 1 was a Thursday, a work day for me. I was up around 6, walked on the treadmill, did a little of my Bible study, got ready and headed to work at about 7:40.
It was a cloudy morning, and the shorter days are showing on my drive as it's just starting to get light as I'm driving.
My job on this day was handling the in basket. That's something on the computer system where patient advice requests come in, lab results that need to be called to people come and lots of messages from our doctors asking to set up referrals, call someone, find something, fax paperwork... Of course, I also phone calls to answer and they were plentiful on this day. We also had some inspectors come in and test our fire alarm system so it was a bit noisy!
It was a good day though and we were able to leave a little after 5.

Back in my town, I found these farmers out in the field, attempting to harvest the last of the corn.
I got home a little before 6, as I had stopped to get gas.
Bob was working late, so I made lunches for the next day, cleaned up around the house a little and heated some leftovers for supper.

Bob got home a little before 8.
I relaxed and checked out your blogs.

Hi Mari. I always enjoy reading these "Day in the Life" posts. It's fun to get a glimpse into your daily life. I hope you have a good week.
You must be incredibally organized to get all these different things done at work. My favorite here is the gorgeous sunset!
The sunset is beautiful yet peaceful to look at. The scenes are not as dazzling as autumn ones but still pleasant in winter.
The time shift has its plusses I guess...sky shots have beauty and nighttime brings on the lights making a whole different scene.
Nature is beautiful.
Loved sharing your day with you! You have some beautiful views on your way to and from work, and your time at home sounds cozy. I think I will do a post like this soon! Thanks for the inspiration!
I used to love driving to work in the dark for some reason! Not so much on the way home though! It will only be a few more weeks and then the days will slowly start to get longer!
Hi, Mari!
You sure had a busy day! Your drive home is beautiful and you are blessed to live in such a beautiful place.
Have a great week!
:)
And as usual you get more done in a day than the next ten people anyone will meet! What a pretty sunset you had. Good job with those Christmas cards ... mine are ready to address and I'll have it done this week too! Plus all the presents will be bought and wrapped. xoxo
You do pack a lot into one day!!!!

Sounds like a lovely day and you got so much done.
The skies are beautiful and love your calendar.
So wonderful to hear about your day, a peek into your life! Your pictures are delightful! Always good to get the Christmas cards done, always a great feeling! Have a blessed December :)
Oh Mari, now I feel guilty. On Sunday I had wanted to sit down and write out Christmas cards but didn't get around to it. Not today either:(
I love that you share your days like this. Always fun pics and so cool to see a peek into your life. I need to get cracking on my Christmas cards! Thanks for the reminder. Lol
I am so late getting to blogs this week. I always enjoy your first-day-of-the-month posts, Mari. Beautiful sunset on your way home. That pink sky covers the drag quite well!! xo
A very busy day! I am surprised to see how many things you can do in a day.
