My new drive

Most of you know I have a new job (which I am loving) and along with that a new drive to work which is quite a bit longer than the old drive.  I've had a few days with bad roads, but most days have been pretty good.  I'm thankful the sun is coming up earlier which has been giving me a pretty drive.  I hate going to work and then coming home in the dark!
Most of my drive is on country roads - my favorites - and it takes me through the area that I grew up in, so that's enjoyable.  I took some photos on my drive in last Friday to show you some of the scenery I see along the way.

It was a cold, but clear morning.  8 degrees outside, nice and warm in the car!

How do you like that wavy roof?

Lots of farms along the way.

I don't see too much traffic on the drive.

I made it!

It was a pretty day, and the sun was setting on my way home.  This is my uncle and aunt's farm.  It's nice driving past familiar places!
Hope you enjoyed these country roads!

You brought back a memory. My folks had a farm in Michigan before I was born but when my brothers and sisters where children. I've heard so many stories about living on the farm and always wished that our folks would have stay there. You live in a beautiful part of our country and I always enjoy tagging along with you on your road trips, even when they are short trips to work. Congratulations on a new job that you love :)

I love that you're loving your new job. And what a beautiful drive! I'm glad you get to work from home a lot too and have that flexibility especially with how weather and roads can be

Oh Mari I am so relieved to see that you don't have to get on the Interstate, but your drive is much like your old one, only longer. Because I know you enjoy that scenery and that it helps you, both coming and going. And to drive past your aunt and uncle's farm! That is special. Your views reminded me of the three years in the late '90s that we lived in a small town in Ohio. I worked at a law firm in downtown Columbus, 42 miles away. My drive was mostly like yours (except not so many trees as the fields on either side of the road were vast and mostly empty), except for the last ten miles or so which were Interstate. I did not enjoy it all that much in the winter but it was so pretty in summer. xoxo
