Weekend Randoms

Hope you all had a nice weekend.  We had beautiful weather here.  After a week of it being very hot and humid, we had a break in the weather and the humidity left.  Sunshine and temps in the low 80's are good with me!
I have just a few photos taken this weekend to share with you.

Friday evening we had Bob's mom and stepdad along with his brother and sister-in-law,  at our house for supper.  It was Mom and Rog's 28th anniversary.  Bob's dad died 37 years ago, he was only 52 years old.  His mom was by herself for quite a few years before she met Rog.  Rog had lost his wife a few years before that.  We've been blessed to have him as part of the family for these years and I know that his family feels the same.

It was my weekend to work and because we've been short of nurses lately, I ended up working 12 hours on Saturday.  It was a long day and I was happy to go home that evening.  When I got home, I found out a package had arrived for me!  It was a giveaway from Arlene over at Nanaland.  What a nice thing to get after a long day.  Now I have to find a good place to display this cross plaque.  Thanks Arlene!

I had to work on Sunday too, but only 8 hours this time!  I was in the backyard in the early evening and saw this scene with jet contrails over the new moon, and had to get a shot of it.
And that's the weekend!  Hope you all have a good week ahead of you.

That was a long day. As an activity director and no extra staff, I often was the full in for a call off.....glad those days are behind me!! Hope you soon have some days off.
Nice gift! I'm sure there is a perfect spot for it in your home....happy hunting :)

Happy Anniversary to the folks. The temps dipped here yesterday, but not for long...back to the 90's this week, sigh. Have a beautiful day, Mari.

That sure is a lot of long hours you had to put in, Mari. I hope you get some time to rest this week.

Happy Anniversary to Bob's mom and step-dad. I'm sorry his dad passed away so young, but happy that Mom met someone and everyone likes him. That's a blessing.

Love your gift, so beautiful.

Mari, I do not know how you do all that you do! I am in awe. 12 hour shifts were hard when I was young and doing one at my age now, not sure I could do it. So glad you like your cross plaque. And the contrails reminded me of a little friend I had who was special needs. He called those angel roads. He said that is where the angels walk. I think of him every time I see one.

My dear Mari, you certainly have been putting in the hours. You are a gem to be there for others and to have such a sweet attitude about putting in extra hours. May the Lord richly bless you!

Have a joyous week. Hugs!

I'm glad that Bob's mom and stepdad have had all these years together. I remember when our dads remarried after the pain of losing their first wives to cancer, I was always praying that they would be able to have many years together in good health.

Twenty hours of work on the weekend!! Lady, you must be a lot younger than I am!
