The wedding and a car...

As I told you yesterday, we went to Missouri for our nephews wedding.  It was a very nice wedding, and wasn't very big because Max is from Michigan, and his wife Mariah is from Kansas, so almost everyone that was there drove some distance.

Here's the bride and groom!

And here they are after the wedding, posing in front of their get away car.  I have to tell you the story of how they got to use this car.
Max went to school for antique car maintenance and restoration.  While in school, he had an internship near St Louis and when he graduated, he was offered a job there.  His boss is part owner of the St. Louis Cardinals and the owner of Hunter Engineering.  He has quite a collection of antique cars and Max is one of 3 people that work on them.  He offered Max his choice of car to drive as a get away car and this is the one he chose. It's a 1912 Rolls Royce and it's worth 3 million dollars!  What a beautiful car!

A kiss for the road...

And they're off!

Here's a picture of Bob and his siblings:  Tom, Larry, Bob, Roger, Karla, Diane.

As you can see it was a beautiful day.  After a little driving time, we had a nice reception.  Max and Mariah are now in Ireland on a 2 week honeymoon.  I'm sure they're having a great time!

It looks like a lovely wedding in a beautiful setting. The bride is gorgeous and they make a nice looking couple. The vintage car is a nice touch too!

....and what a get-a-way that is. To Ireland of all places!!

Love the car, I vow not to call Bud in here to show him or he'll be on a plane just to see the car in person.

All the best to the newlyweds; she looks like a princess. I adore her bouquet. Max is soooo tall!

Oh my goodness, what a GREAT story and beautiful car. Not as beautiful as the bride, however! She is either real short or he is really, really tall! I love her dress. Classic. We will be traveling to Ohio next month, for my niece's wedding. It is so great to celebrate love!!

Hi Mari! Welcome back! Looks like it was a beautiful day to get married, and I loved to hear about the car. Three million dollars??? Max must be very, very trustworthy and talented to get to work on cars like this. How exciting to work for such a generous person!

Thank you for the photos, I really enjoy seeing who you talk about :)
Blessings,
Ceil
