Spring in our yard
April is such an amazing month here in Michigan. The snow usually melts in the beginning of the month. Then we have this variety of weather - cold, rain, sun, some warmth - but through it all Spring is arriving!
Here's a few things in our yard that make me happy.
It's such a happy day when I see the leaves on the trees start to bud!
These little berries are still hanging on the bush from last fall, and are looking pretty sad, but they add a touch of color in this brown season.
Although Bob hauled about 10 wheel barrows full of acorns from the yard, there are still plenty out there!
The dried grasses look pretty in the sunshine.
The red twigged dogwood is starting to bud too.
The daffodils are growing fast!
And the crocus are almost ready to open!

I've always loved crocus. Have a lovely spring. P.S. We enjoyed "Crock Pot Grinders" again this evening, which I believe is one of your recipes that you shared a while back. Oh Mari, your photographs made me smile today! What joy Spring brings to life... Here in South Africa we are welcoming Autumn with open arms after a long hot summer, but Spring is such a fresh and beautiful time of the year!

We have been starved for color to many months. Now spring can bring it on. Happy, happy dance.
Oh what a beautiful springtime you have in your little corner of the world!
It's pretty amazing. We are almost done with pollen-slime season. TG hosed down the front porch for me this morning because walking out there was like being in a dusty neon-yellow tunnel. I wonder how long before I hear a cicada. Hang in there Mari xoxo
