This week it's mostly about the kids

This is the last week of the random act of kindness challenge. I've really enjoyed looking for ways to spread a little cheer. To see what others did this week, visit Betsy at My Five Men.
Here's what I did this week.

(totes of cars, plastic animals and stuffed animals with dollars hidden in them)
I went to the dollar store and tucked some dollar bills in the toy bins, hoping that some kids would enjoy buying something with the dollars when they found them.

The Meijer stores in my area are known for their penny horse rides.  Sandy the horse has been around since my kids were little and it's one area that inflation hasn't hit.  The cost is still one cent!  I took a handful of pennys and put them where the money goes in.  It's such a small thing, but I bet it made a few kids smile.

I drove through a local restaurant that has such good food and paid for the car behind me.  What fun to think about what they thought when they got to the window! I told the girl that I paid, to tell them to have a happy day in spite of the never ending winter we are having.

This has been a fun thing to take part in.  It has reminded me that you don't have to do anything big to spread a little sunshine.  Thanks Betsy for hosting!

Oh, I love these! You did all the sneaky ones where you aren't there to see the cheer! But you just know kids had a ball finding a dollar in the toy bin! I can just see their wide eyes! haha. That penny horse is so fun...love the old stuff.

Thanks for join in all the weeks, Mari! I sure had fun doing this! Maybe we'll do it again next February!

I think that is so sweet that the horse ride is STILL one penny. You brought some smiles to many people's faces.

Hi Mari! I love your RAK, so simple, yet I know you gave so many people a reason to smile. I especially loved the buried dollar bills. Can't you just see the look on someone's face when they find one?

I've heard of people paying for the person behind them, but I've never done it. Hmm...maybe you have spurred me on to do it too. Thank you :)
Have a great weekend!

Your RAKs really were awesome. How did you know the amount of the car behind you? I love how giving in big and small things makes such a difference. I have missed visiting with you, Mari!
