It's a girl...and a boy...and a boy!

This is my friend Lauren. She is the social worker at my nursing home. She and her husband have wanted a baby for some time. We were all thrilled earlier this year when she told us she was pregnant. She had a lot of morning sickness and started to show quite quickly. Because of her size we were suspecting twins. When she had an ultrasound, we were all surprised to hear that it was triplets - 2 boys and 1 girl!
Lauren is now 23 weeks along. Her doctor wants her to get to at least 30 weeks before delivering, and since her cervix is starting to thin, she has been ordered to start bedrest.
The residents had a baby shower for her today. The residents who are alert are quite excited about these babies.
Prayers for Lauren during this time of bedrest and for 3 healthy babies would be appreciated!

I most definitely will be praying for Lauren. I wish that I had known at work today that it was her last day for a while and that the baby shower was for her!

Mari,

Thanks for letting us know about Lauren! I know how tiresome bedrest can be and perhaps this is a great time for her to get a blog going.

Adding her to my list of prayers.

how exciting for Lauren!! congrats to her and her hubby!! she looks gorgeous in that picture! so happy and bubbly!

I'm reminded of Psalm 139:13-14; knowing God is lovingly knitting those 3 together in their mama's womb!

Wow!! That will be amazing -three little babies. I was with my sister when she gave birth to twins and I helped her the first few months.

I pray that Lauren will be able to carry the babies as long as possible and that everything goes well without complications.

Thanks for sharing...I remember those days well even if they did happen a long time ago. You know, I was so bad off that when they put on bed rest somewhere around 16-17 weeks, they just wanted to get me to 26 weeks for viability. Please keep us posted on Lauren as things go along!

Wow, three little babies all at once. It will be such a great joy, and a challenge as well.

I will pray for Lauren, may the delivery be safe, and all babies to be completely developed when they come out.

I also want to thank you for your comments to my Cory post. This post is probably among the more important ones I have written. Having stormed the heavens together with other intercessors for our nation, I deeply feel the loss of a historical figure like Cory. I still have to find a place and time to express my grief before God.

Selfless leaders like her are sadly missing from our modern day history. She's the only one I know of, and the hundreds of thousands of common people standing in the stormy weather waited for the funeral cortege to pass by...flowers and candles left in front of her residence in Quezon City...all attest to the love that the people have for her. Our nation has truly lost a mother who cares and who will fight for us.

It is time to wait upon God to see what He will do next.

Thank you for reading my post, caring, and showing interest.

Love
Lidj

Triple blessings!!
She will need lots of prayer for strength and I pray she can carry them until 30 weeks or more. They will need Prayer even more so after they get here.
My daughter had twins at 30 weeks and ,let me tell you ,it was very hard on them. She breast fed and now they are soon to be 10 years old ( October 7 ).
