Bob and I both had the day off because he had to go in for his first colonoscopy. It wasn't how he would choose to spend a morning, but as we were told, the prep is worse than the test. It went well, everything looked good and he doesn't have to have another one for 10 years!
We got primer put on all the cabinets and wood trim and were even able to get the windows and trim completely painted. The cabinets need to be painted yet, but at least the primer is on. Painting windows and trim is a tedious job and I'm glad to have that part done!

Looks like alot of work to me...
Glad all is well with Mr Bob. now he can get on with all the rest of the kitchen work, no sympathy here..LOL
I know what you went through yesterday since Mike has had multiple colonoscopys done already. He goes in every 3 years because he's considered high risk (mom has chrones and dad had colon cancer).
The painting is really coming along nicely - I really don't like to paint but I absolutely dread painting the windows, trim, and cupboards!!!
What a day for poor Bob. A colonoscopy and paiting windows. ICK! I bet he's glad to go back to work today! :)
are you leaving the green tape on the windows? its very attractive
The project is coming along nicely! I'm glad the procedure is over. They are no fun...
Oh now you are causing me to want to paint my kitchen cabinets white! I love white cabinets! Your kitchen is going to look so bright and beautiful!
I am glad Bob got through his ordeal and they found NO problems. Praise the Lord! You are right, the prep is far worse than the actual procedure, but I didn't want to say anything because one needs all the encouragement one can get when going through that. When I had to drink that stuff, I threw up more than a took in. UGH! But I guess I got enough down to please them.
Glad that it all went well. Yeah for that being done! can't wait to see the kitchen!
You are going to love those cabinets! I miss my pretty white, cottagey cabinets from my old house. Before I go and paint mine, though, I'm going to see what new counters will do to the overall look. One day...
HEY! Guess what I got in the mail today? My new spice rack! I can't thank you enough for THAT tip - wow, it's awesome. LOVE. IT. Thanks for sharing!!
Glad everything went well for him :)
Can't wait to see the finished kitchen!
Mari,
I just can't wait to see your finished project.
I am trying very hard not to COVET!
Love you! Joanne
Poor Bob. Is Nothing Sacred? You even blogged about his nether regions? Mari Mari Mari. [Sigh.]
Glad his tests came out good.
Your kitchen is looking good- how wonderful it will be when it's done!
That is the tedious work. Glad you guys are able to do it together and stand each other. I bet this is going to look so sharp when done. You will have to have a party.
Poor Bob, not the best way to spend a morning!
Your kitchen's looking better & better :)
SIGN ME UP NEXT!
It's looking very good - I'm excited to see the final product!
The painting looks great - we are currently painting most of our flat to get it ready to sell - I am starting to really hate painting so I feel for you!
