Cooking Thursday

The recipe I'm sharing today is one that a friend at work told me she was making for Easter.  She said she's asked to bring it every time they have a family gathering.
It was easy and sounded good, so I made it when we had our family over.  Ruby said I have to make it all the time now! It's light, refreshing and so easy to put together.
It's called Orange Fluff, but you can use any flavor jello and change out the fruit if you want to.

Orange Fluff

5.1 ounce Vanilla Pudding mix
6 ounce package orange jello
12 ounces Cool Whip
1 cup milk
8 ounces crushed pineapple
11 ounces mandarin oranges

Stir pudding and jello mix into Cool Whip. Stir in milk, then stir in oranges and pineapple with juice.
Place in refrigerator and allow to set for a few hours before serving.

When I worked somewhere else a lady made this, Everyone always asked her to make it for all of our work parties! Huge hit, this one.

I’ve had that before. My former MIL used to make it. It’s an oldie that I haven’t had in 30+ years. I will make this. It’s refreshing

Looks good! From the thumbnail I thought it was pimento cheese! 😂

I know I've had this before but I haven't ever made it. Thanks for sharing the recipe because I'll try making it. I remember thinking at the time I had it that it was really good.

That looks so pretty for spring and sounds like it would be very refreshing. It reminds me a little of the Watergate salad that was so popular in the 70s. Yum!

I've never heard of this or tried it before, but so interesting. Might have to whip up a batch and give it a go!

Looks good but I don't like cool whip. It tastes like plastic to me. Guess I'm the odd one!! :)

Oh, my MIL used to make that, but she didn't use the pudding mix. She used cottage cheese and then all the other stuff. It was really good too. My sister makes another version of this, but hers has shredded cheddar cheese in it and nuts, no pudding mix. Now I can't remember if it has cottage cheese or not. I'd have to look at the recipe. I love all those kinds of salad/desserts. Yummy! thanks for sharing it.

Throw in mini marshmallows and my mother-in-law used to make that all the time years ago.

I'd not heard of Cool Whip until 'Granny Marigold' left a comment on my alternative rice pudding post.

After doing a little research (although I'm sure its popular) its ingredients list is not too good!!!

All the best Jan
