Happy Girl!

This past weekend we had Alaina overnight again. When she gets here, she has a one track mind - she needs to find Oliver quickly! She's saying his name as we pull into the garage and hunting him down before her coat comes off.

Happy girl, the cat maybe not so much!

This is a toy our kids loved.  It's Discovery Toys Marble Works.  You can put all the pieces together however you want, and make a track for marbles to run down.  I kept it in a box in the basement and pulled it out for Alaina to try.  She loves it.

Isn't this a cute picture?  Bob was eating crackers and cheese and Alaina snuggled right next to him to share his snack.
Spending time with her is a reminder that the simple things in life, are often the sweetest!

....ahhhhh, the simple things indeed. She is such a doll. And you two [or should I say three, including Oliver] really know how to show your love and devotion to such a sweety!!!! Precious.

Oh Mari, she is just precious!! Of course I love that she wants to see your cat, but that picture of her with her grandpa is beyond adorable. Sweet moments like that make such sweet memories!

The marble run is brilliant. Both my daughters loved it, and it was one of their games I didn't mind doing too.

My favourite food is strong cheddar cheese and crackers. :D

We bought a marble run for our first grandchild 21 years ago. It has been used and used by all four grandchildren and we've finally given it away to a family with 3 boys. What fun it's been

I loved the story of Alaina's love for Oliver. The joy you get from her visits spills over here in your blog. All three pictures tell a story of love.

I just showed her this post and she went crazy - "OWVER! OWVER! Heather! Heather! Gumpa! Gumpa!" You need to have them take pictures of her with you too! :)
