Ohio work project

I told you last week that I had to go to Ohio for work for 2 days.  I was one of 8 nurses who went to the corporate office to be part of a focus group. They said they wanted to hear from people who had to carry out some of their plans, to see what we thought, instead of coming up with things when they really had no idea how it would work. I have to respect the Corporation for wanting to hear from us. We had some very interesting talks and came up with some good plans. We'll see what happens. They are planning one more day in the near future. We were treated very well while we were there, and I have to show you a few pictures of my time.

This is my hotel room - lots of space for just one person!

A very nice bathroom...

And a fancy, schmancy kleenex box!

On the first night we were taken out for supper by the president of the corporation.

This is what the ceiling of this restaurant looked like.

Here's a bigger shot of the interior.  It was an Italian restaurant and the food was very good!
When we finished supper, we had time to do a little shopping.  We were in Easton, (near Columbus) which is an absolutely beautiful place to shop.  It has about any store you could hope to find, along with a theatre and lots of restaurants.  We only had about an hour before they closed, but felt like we could spend 2 days there.
The next day we finished up and then had the 6 hour drive back home.  It was very enjoyable, and I hope some good comes from it!

Very nice hotel. It is good that your company asked for the input of the people carrying out the plan. Hope this week goes well for you.

I am sure it is nice to work for a place that actually cares what the workers think about something. Nice accommodation's too.

I love to hear stories about folks who work in places where the 'big wigs' seem to care and want to know how they can make it better....and what better way, than to ask the ones who actually do the work. Nice place they provided and do hope it helps in the future with what all of you said. Have a good Monday!

I thought the photo looked familiar--I have eaten at that restaurant several times. It is excellent. Easton is one of the 'jewels' of Columbus and I've been there, but have never been to all the stores. I think it would take at least two days to 'see' them all!
I'm glad your trip went well. :>)

So glad they did that and that you got to be one selected. I know it's because they picked from the Cream of the Crop. Everything looked so nice. Did anyone make fun of you for taking the pictures? I wonder if they are use to us bloggers snapping pictures?!!!! Hope they truly "listen" to your input.

This is so fantastic. I'm so glad you had a getaway with the right amount of pampering. YOU deserve it for how hard you work and for your dedication and for the smarts and compassion you bring to the table. BRAVO, Corporation. I still can't believe they have a restaurant like that in Ohio.

Ok, I want a bathroom like that! Very nice photos ;)-- Can I just add my 2 cents, not that it is worth much--I think with the mandatory healthcare coming online, unfort..I think nurses, doctors, hosp. in general is going to be much harder on y'all. I feel bad for the health care profession, on what I have been reading, it is pretty scary. JMO. Blessings

What a nice trip they gave you, and hopefully your input will be taken to heart! My hometown is 30 miles east of Columbus, and I lived in Columbus for a couple of years. The hotel looks amazing and quite comfortable! Keep us posted on outcomes, please!

That bathroom looks like a Hampton Inn where we stayed. It was very nice. How nice to have all that space to yourself!
