A little time off

I have a little time off this week.  I'm working Monday but then have off until Saturday.
Our bedroom is in need of some updating and I plan to get it painted during that time.  However, I have to start by taking down a wallpaper border, and then getting things out of the room.  I don't mind the painting but that prep work is no fun!
Anyway, I'm taking some time away from the blog too, so I can keep working on the room.
I'll share pictures when I'm done.  See you next week!

I agree about emptying the rooms...it's the worst part!
Anxiously awaiting the pictures!

Will be waiting to "see". I use to love to paint and did it alot. You can change the entire "personality" of a room with a simple painting job.

...can't wait...can't wait. What color scheme are you gonna use? Green? Pink? Lavender? A soft, warm yellow? Oh I can't wait.

Painting - oh yes, we need to do some of that this summer too! P.S. I decided to start a whole new blog instead of dealing with privacy blog issues so here is the link to my new home in blog land. When you come back from your break, feel free to visit, comment and follow along! Good luck with the paining.

Ahhhh, a painting project. My family will not allow me to pick up a paintbrush. Good luck ~ don't hurt yourself ~ take lots of breaks ~ Happy Fourth of July ~ can't wait to see the pics!

Good luck on your project. I also hate that prep work. I wish you could just start with the paint.
Can't wait for the photos
Have fun during your time off.

Few things rival the inspiration of a handful of paint swatches. Looking forward to seeing the finished project. I know what you mean about the prep. Ugh!

It is a HUGE job, and I agree with you that the prep is the worst. Can't wait to see the photos! Don't work too hard, now!

I just spent a month painting our daughter's new house! I enjoy painting, it's adds such a new look to things, but I'm like you...I hate the prep work. Eager to see your results!

Um ... taking down wallpapaer isn't exactly my idea of "time off." ;-) Looking forward to seeing the results.

I LOVE to paint (I think it's because of the immediate gratification factor) but hate all the prep -- especially taping around doors, windows and above baseboards. But it's worth the extra time since I don't have a steady enough hand to just 'wing it' :)

Look forward to seeing the fruit of your labor!

Can you come and do ours too? But it needs more than paint! I hope it goes well and look forward to seeing the end results!

Nice inspirational image for this post! It almost makes me want to pick up a brush and paint one of those vivid colors somewhere in my house.

Like the others, I'll look forward to seeing the results!

Can't wait to see what you've done. I've stripped miles of wallpaper border in my day. It always seemed like such a good idea at the time. . .
