15 ways we're different

Last week The Pioneer Woman and Betsy, over at My Five Men  posted 15 ways that they were different than their husband.  I thought it was a fun post and decided to share my own list of ways Bob and I are different.

1)   He gets a headache if he doesn't drink coffee.  I don't like coffee.

2)   He hates reality shows like Survivor..., they are my favorite.

3)   He can envision what something he's working on will look like when it's done (a flower bed, a carving...)    I can't picture it, till I see the real thing.

4)   He doesn't like strawberries or tomatoes.  I love them.

5)   He likes to go to bed early.  I'm a night owl.

6)   He tends to be pessimistic.  I tend to be optimistic.

7)   He likes to get to places early.  I like to be there just on time.

8)   He loves fish.  I do not!

9)   He does one thing at a time.  I multi-task.

10)  He likes to camp in a tent.  I like running water and electricity.

11)  He's got a green thumb and beautiful flowers.  I can't keep plants alive and just admire his work.

12)  When we are traveling, he wants to drive and get there.  I want to stop and take lots of pictures along the way.

13)  He chooses his words carefully and is more quiet.  I talk and he tells me I'm going to run out of words.

14)  He doesn't like board games or playing cards.  I love them.

15)  He doesn't believe I am always right.  I am!   :)

We both love Jesus, family and each other, so we are alike in the important things. This August, we'll celebrate our 32nd anniversary.

Cute post and congrats on almost 32 years. I have had to take my blog private due to some issues with visitors from overseas and cyber security, but I would love to have you continue as a follower and comment whenever you want. Please email me at cdjdhj1979 at gmail dot com and I will send you an invitation and add you to list of "approved" visitors. Thanks so much. I will keep visiting and commenting on your blog!

If we were all alike, wouldnt it be boring. Difference can sometimes be a good thing.

If I were writing my list, I could pull numbers 3, 9, 11, and 12 from your list!

Isn't it amazing how we manage to live together with all of our differences? It's your last statement of having a common faith that makes it possible.

I'll be waiting for your anniversary post!

ps... I'll have to go over to the 2 links you mentioned. This was fun to read.

Oh this is SO cute, Mari. First of all, I don't know how anybody can be optimistic without coffee. But you and I are alike in lots of other ways. I despise camping. I cannot grow a blessed thing except weary. TG and I are both night owls. Give me more, more, more strawberries and tomatoes ... but I'll have to share with TG, who loves them too. We both (for the most part) dislike fish although I do like me a mess of fried catfish from time to time, if Cracker Barrel will cook it. And you know I'm all about stopping a million times to take pictures. TG likes that too. And like your Bob, TG is the strong silent type while I ... well, you know. I call him "The clam before the storm." One of the most unusual ways TG and I are opposite is, he loves sunny days and I love rainy ones. xoxo to you and Bob.

I love your list. Quite a few of them come down to men vs women differences. I love #15!! And yes- you're right :)

I agree, these are fun posts. I like learning more about my fellow bloggers. Another night owl here who likes board and card games. You do have the important things in common, providing a firm foundation for a lasting marriage. Congrats!

This was a fun post. Here I thought all along that Bob was the talkie one and you were not so much. I thought all your talk was in writing. I hear that opposites attract!

LOL I love your last one.

And I'm the same way, when going somewhere I like to stop lots of times and take pictures and my hubby just wants to drive straight and get there.
