When I was little, my Grandpa would often say that little poem to me:
"Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
how does your garden grow?"
While, today I have pictures of my gardens and they're growing pretty well!
Of course, I can't take any credit. Bob is the gardener - I just take the pictures!

This hosta is over 2 feet wide!
I love this variety of coral bell - the leaves are so bright!
A corner in the back yard
The lavender smells so good!
The Siberian Iris are my favorite at this time of year. They look so pretty planted in a mass.
This is a weigela bush. We have a two varieties in our yard.
This is a regular iris - I love this color!
This little toad sits near Bob's workshop and watches over the barn.
Another spot in the back yard. This is a great place to sit and read.
I truly appreciate Bob's talent and work in our yard. It's wonderful to walk around outside or even look out the window and enjoy.

Beautiful Mari! I wish I could garden like that. We're doing good to prompt grass after many years of previous tenant neglect.
No offense, but the frog looks a tad creepy! Just sayin'!
Have a great week!
I disagree with you! I love Mr. Toad! He is cute and provides a little interest :)
Mari, Bob does a beautiful job of tending the gardens. The flowers are gorgeous. Does the weigels have a fragrance? I have never seen them before.
I'll bet you get lots of hummingbirds at your weigela and coral bells. I love hearing the little whir of wings when I'm out in the garden.
Garden is looking so pretty Mari (and Bob!) Your hostas look so healthy - the snails seem to like ours too much. Conifers look wonderful - never get fed up with conifers with such differing shapes. Take time to enjoy your garden!
Beautiful!
We have something that you don't have in your garden. That is WEEDS. lol Your flowers are beautiful..........
I know one thing....I would NOT want to leave. What a beautiful scene...all the way around. [I love iris --finally, I got some to bloom down this far south, but they're nothing like what you have up north!!]
Beautiful photos, Mari!
Bob is one talented gardener, and you are a talented photographer!
Is that bark around all the bushes?
What wonderful yard you have and I wish I could grow flowers like that.
You do a good job of showing us Bob's hard work.
Love the toad.
Hugs
Such a beautiful garden. Oh how I would love to sit on that bench with you and share a glass of tea or lemonaide!!!
you definitely deserve the credit for taking such good pictures. i never knew until this weekend how hard getting a good flower shot is!
Oh you have such a beautiful garden Mari...I love all the green.
I think it's one of the things I miss the most about Idaho, all the greenery :)
Such a beautiful yard! Bob does a great job.
My hubby is the gardener in our family too. I enjoy the fruits of his labor :)
WOW! This could have come from the pages of a gardening magazine. Kudos to both the gardener and the photographer - BEAUTIFUL!! I could seat on that lovely bench amidst all the flowers and greenery and solve all the problems of the world!
I envy your yard! beautiful
Your husband has a wonderful green thumb. What a beautiful garden.
Ah! Stunning! Props to your Bob! I wish TG were like that about gardening. He keeps the grass beautiful and trims hedges as he can, but we live in a jungle down here. Everything just takes over if you don't tend to it daily and he doesn't have time. Me? I don't like gardening. I like taking pictures!
Oh, I love your garden! That's a lot of work to keep it looking like a showpiece! Simply gorgeous - tell Bob thanks for sharing through your photos!
Mari, Your gardens are incredible! I especially love the iris in front of the gray bench that Bob made. That is a beautiful setting. I also love that big frog peeking out from under the foliage. Your hostas look lucious! I think this is a good year for them. One of mine is so big it looks like a bush.
Truely beautiful...
