Cooking Thursday

It's time for another recipe! For more ideas and recipes, visit Sandra at Diary of a SAHM.
~
My family likes taco's but we don't always want to deal with crumbly shells. This is a favorite way to eat a taco's at our house!

Taco Ring
3/4 pound hamburg, browned and drained
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons water
2 pkg crescent rolls

Stir seasoning, water and cheese into browned hamburg. Unroll crescents and arrange in a circle on a round baking stone with the ends pointing out. (You can use a large cookie sheet, just adjust the cooking time, as it cooks quicker)
Scoop meat onto wide part of each crescent triangle. Bring outside points in and tuck under dough at center.
Bake for 20 - 25 minutes at 375 degrees until lightly browned. Slice and serve wedges with lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese and sour cream.

Love the taco ring, but haven't made it in eons! By the way, I found those crescents that don't have the perforations. I can't wait to need them now.

Ooo, I think I've heard of this, but never really knew how it was made. I have taco stuff in the house and I'm trying it tonight!

I'll fix taco pockets sometimes for a change in menu...I use bread dough. But then again, I LOVE my homemade flour tortillas best.

Crescent rolls----whod'da thunk it? Great idea.

Mari,

I'd never thought of making tacos like this before. It works out great for kids who have a tendency of breaking their shells!

Oh wow does this sound yummy. I will make it for dinner tomorrow night I think. We love Tacos and crescents. I am always looking forr crescent recipes. We do one where we put grilled chicken and cheese in the center, wrap them up and bake and it's oh so yummy.

Have you tried any digi scrapping yet?
