Works for me Wednesday

Do you sit down and write out checks every month to pay your utilities, mortgage and other payments? Have you considered online banking?
I resisted it for awhile, but then decided to give it a try and have been using it for several years now. Once you have entered in the addresses and accounts you wish to pay, they remain in a list. Then you can go to it every month and enter the amount and the date you want it to be paid and you're done. No envelopes, no postage, no checks! It also gives you the ability to look back and see what you've paid on these bills previously.
So, if you don't use online banking, I encourage you to give it a try. It's easy, effeciant and it'll save you money!

You just confirmed it. I have been trying to decide whether to jump on the online bill paying and you helped me make up my mind! Good idea.

I've slowly been converting to online banking. Part of me still wants to hold on to the old method, the other part of me wants to embrace the new. Isn't that how it usually goes? :-D

My husband loves online banking! It really simplifies the process. You never even see your money. LOL

Online banking is terrific. It's the automatic withdrawals that I have learned to refuse....once a bill was 227...and the bank took out 2270!!! Now, I make sure I don't use that option. LOLOLOL

Great tip...it IS a good thing to do.

I resisted for a while too...not to quick to jump on the band wagon, but I now love it.
I pay all my bills this way, and if I leave home, I use my lap top and can access them that way. No more stamps and looking for a mailbox!

I love online backing even though I've had a glitch or two. I've done it for years as well and find bill day to be some much easier!

As for your last post, it took me years to learn to call you Mari and not Maribeth. Please don't confuse me with more names, hehe.

We don´t have that here, but it sure sounds easy and time saving!

We've been gradually switching over to making bill payments online. Saving on postage is a welcome bonus, but ensuring that payments arrive on time is the major reason for us.

We do online banking also and love it! No more late payments and ignoring the mail isn't such a big deal anymore. :) Glad you love it!

My husband does all his banking online. I need to learn to do it too. It's a great idea.

We pay nearly everything online. It's convenient and you can set things up to pay the same time every month.

It surely saves on the amount of checks needed too!

The other thing I love about online banking is that I never have to reconcile my check book with a bank statement anymore, since I do it online almost every day.

See, if I wrote this post it would have gone a little something like this...

"Do you sit down and write out checks every month to pay your utilities, mortgage, etc? Might I entice you to make your husband do it instead?"

hehehe No, really though, my husband does all this now and he does use online banking. He LOVES it!

Great tip!

I'm still thinking this thru. Postage is getting so costly; I would rather use my stamps to send letters/cards, etc. So I might start soon with online payment.

I've considered it, but we haven't made the plunge yet.
