Laughter

"A laugh is a smile that bursts"
Mary Waldrip

Did you know that laughing is good for you? It's been proven to do things like reduce blood pressure and reduce stress.
When things aren't going your way, sometimes it can be so ridiculous that you can laugh about it. If you can, you will have a better attitude and your day will probably improve. And - if you are more lighthearted you will help those around you!
A good sense of humor is a winning situation!

"Laughter is the medicine of life"

Mari,

There have been times in my life when I just couldn't see the humor in anything and there have been other times when I've laughed at certain situations I've found myself in. Yes, laughter is balm for the soul. Thanks for reminding me.

Blessings,
Mary

I love to laugh. I have a very loud laugh that I just can't stand to hear on videos. But other people say they like to hear me laugh. So I'm glad it's good for me!

When the picture popped up, Chatty immediately burst out in a laugh!

Mari,

I love this picture! Right when I opened it I was thinking, HA! and then I read your statement about laughter and I so agree with you. Life has gotten so serious that people forget how to smile or even laugh.

That is why I am dedicating two of my days of blogging to captions contests on Fridays and Saturday is Silly Saturdays following after hubby's example today.

Do you know that here in India, laughter is a form of yoga therapy? A lot of people get up early in the morning, assemble in the local parks and just laugh together. When you see it at first, you just feel 'what is this?' Amazingly, you start joining in, whether you like it or not!

This reminds me of the scripture in Proverbs 17:22:
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine...
I love to laugh and try and see humor in as much as I can without causing offense.

I love this post and couldn't agree with you more! And this is such a cute photo!

May our day today be full of laughter.

Please pray for my grandson Matthew, I just got word from back home that he is sick with fever and cough.

I so so agree with the quote. Laughter IS the medicine of life. And, I do love to laugh.

I've oftentimes said the old adage to myself that Ignorance is Bliss....that is something I try to listen to also, being ignorant of a lot of bad/sad situations in life can help live a healthier life too. Right? LOLOLOL

Have a super duper Friday Mari.

What Brenda said! It reminded me of that too. What's so funny is that when my kids are made, well one in particular seems to be more drawn to the mood, so I'll look at them or they at me and in seconds we're busting a gut just laughing at each other. It's hilarious! Thanks for the post Mari.

Um, I meant when my kids are MAD, not made....too funny! Now I really am laughing! (I tried to delete my first comment but we'll see). Anyway, mad doesn't last long around here....one cute look in another's direction and the laughter is back, right where it should be.

This is so true. I know a person who faces problems with her family but yet is always laughing and smiling. You would not know she has troubles by looking at her.
The cat is hilarious!

How can anyone look at that cat and not laugh? Or at least smile broadly? :-)
