A day at the beach

I live in West Michigan, about 25 minutes from Lake Michigan. My sister Terri is camping this week at a campground on the lake and invited me to come and spend a day with her.
Here are a few pictures from my day.

This camp is beautifully landscaped. This gazebo is overlooking the lake. There are often wedding performed here.
.

Here is a little evidence of all the kids that are camping. I thought this was pretty nice work!
.
More beautiful flowers, along with a pretty butterfly.
.

My niece Shaelyn playing with some friends on the beach. They were taking turns pouring sand over each other - including their heads! Some Mom's are going to be busy with getting sand out of the hair tonight!
.
A view from the stairs leading to the beach.
.

The lighthouse and a beautiful sailboat further down the beach.

I had a really nice day today. Fun with family, nice weather and time to relax and take in the beauty around us. Thanks Terri, for letting me spend the day!

I need to get out of this house! Look what awaits me just a few hours away, and I'm missing it!
Your pictures could be used by the chamber of commerce, they are just beautiful!
What state park is that?

o.k. , once again, I am in amazement at your photography. Thank you for regularly blessing all of us with your abilities. I love the vegetation on the beaches there...so different from, well not here 'cause we're in Phoenix, but in S. Cal. Very nice Mari!

I have a photo of my MIL and dear hubby when he was much younger [and single..LOL] at that lighthouse. My mother in law was born in Michigan.

Love the view from the stairs...that is awesome.

oh, Mari, that top picture is just amazingly beautiful! It reminds me of the time we sisters spent the weekend together at my sister Betty's place in Gloucester, MA. There was a gazebo overlooking the bay, and we stood in it and sang "How Great Thou Art." It was a holy moment.
