Slow Cooking Thursday

Can you believe it's Thursday again? The weeks go by so fast!
Here's a good family friendly supper for you.
.
Chili Mac
1 pound ground beef, cooked and drained
2 cans (15 ounces) hot chili beans, undrained
2 large green peppers, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
4 celery ribs, chopped
8 ounces tomato sauce
1 envelope chili seasoning
2 garlic cloves, minced
7 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
salt and pepper to taste

Combine first 8 ingredients in slow cooker and mix well. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until heated through. Stir in macaroni and mix well. Season with salt and pepper.
Yield: 12 servings
*The recipe says this can be made into a soup by adding a large can of beef broth. I've never done it, but it sounds good.
.

I am so excited!!! I use to make this on the stove top but lost the recipe. Now to have it for the slow cooker is great! My family will be thrilled!

I haven't cooked in days with the funeral and all...I really need to get back to a home cooked meal, there's nothing more satisfying. Tonight I think I'm just making a Greek salad with tuna. Easy and satisfying.

That sounds good. Chili Mac in our house is mac and cheese added to left over Chili. The kids love it.

But I may have to give this a try
